The guy went ice racing and fell through?
I want a WRX because half the year is snow and ice while the other is potholes and road construction. I also want to go fast on the side. Which model year is best?

New is your only choice to avoid P.O. abuse.

2015, the new engine is a beast
>>14048352
Get a Legacy GT/Outback XT/Forester XT so your insurance is cheaper, you're not profiled by cops, and you don't have the fuccboi/boyracer/monster energy stigma attached. They're all much more practical too.

>new engine is a beast
Isn't the main complaint that they have the same engines?
>>14048386
2015 STI has same engine, the WRX has the new engine and it's godly. Kinda made because the car looks like shit but that engine is amazing.
>>14048386
The 2015+ WRX has an all new 268hp FB20, from 06-14 they had the 265hp EJ255. The STi is the only current model that still has an EJ series engine, the EJ257. It should hopefully be getting the 300hp FB20 from the Levorg for 2017 though.

Its the fa20

I hate this infographic.
It's so obvious that the Vette driver just blew the last few corners.

>The 2015+ WRX has an all new 268hp FB20
*FA20. The new 2.0L Turbo is the FA20, not the FB20. The FB20 is only used in base model N/A cars
It's a Subaru BRZ engine with different heads and a turbo. On an awkward note, the N/A heads of the BRZ flow a hell of a lot better than the WRX heads so there's a lot of power to be gained there.

Yeah, the Forester XT seems badass.
If you really want a WRX, find a 2013 hatch that was adult owned and driven.
Otherwise just buy a new one.

in burgerland cornering and turning is not part of racing.
b-bbut its faster on the quarter mile
>>14050035
The funniest part about the corvette is it isn't faster in a straight line.
>>14050023
only in the BRZ/FR-S
Look it up. The new turbo is based on the FA20, not the FB20. The FA20 is much lighter, hence why it's considered a different engine family.
The FB20 is N/A only. The FA20 is available N/A in the BRZ/FR-S or turbocharged in the Forester XT and WRX.

Its na in the brz. Same series motor though

The Vette has as much mechanical grip as the GT-R, the GT-R is just easier to drive at the limits.
