My dad once had an Infiniti g35x rental car that accelerated on its own in a parking garage. His foot was actually above the brake, so he was able to slam on the brakes when it happened, but it could have ended far worse.

This is why I always wonder why dealerships/craigslist listings always list "lady driven" as some kind of plus. All that tells me is it's probably been involved in a few accidents and hasn't been maintained whatsoever.

A long time ago I made the mistake of buying my first used car from a dealer.
I wanted a Civic becuase mah reliability. Parents all had hondas, each over 250k miles.
anway, two cars with manual fit my bill.
One was obviously hooned. Had clear tails, shitty HIDs, fog lights that were not hooked up to anything, aftermarket hubs, and tires worn down to nothing.
other car was woman owned. cheaper in price, but every single fucking panel had dings, scratches, and more dings on it.
interior was shit, scratched up, cig burns, dirty as carpet.
bought the ricer one, unriced it, put 150k miles on it before i hit a patch of black ice, and then a tree.
