It's been a while now and the problem started out as not that bad and only occasionally and now it happens every time i touch the gas below 2700rpm. My truck shakes like hell. I don't know what it is. I've ran some fuel system cleaner in awn aunt tempt to help it but it's done nothing for it. I also replaced the fuel filter. It shakes and chugs like it's not going fuel or its misfiring. It seems like a bad injector but there's no engine light and in neutral it'll rev up just fine but then you take off and it shakes like an old man with a walker. I'm convinced it's something to do with the fuel system but I don't know. I was going up a hill at 30 in 3rd gear and I floored it and it started shaking and then it sounded like it backfired or it popped or some shit but it just kept going, shaking an old man with Parkinsons. Somebody please help me

Well, Satan, check your spark plugs and differential mounts, if you know your fuel system is good.

Also there's a howling noise that sounds like a wheel bearing but when I jack it up the tires don't wiggle and when I take the tires off the bearings are solid. It gets really bad at 30 mph or if you turn right. When you turn left though the howl goes away. Above or below 30 it's not as bad but it's still blatantly obvious. I don't think these are in anyway connected but I don't know. The noise doesn't bother me it, seems fine like an enlarged prostate in your 60's.

Dont punish me for not remebering the specific name of the part satan but I had a similar problem from misfiring; the electrical component that a spark plug connects to war fried but that was spitting out errors and check engine light so it might not be that

I replaced all 6 and what do you mean differential mounts?
>>
>>14040706
The distributor? Wouldn't that cause it to always shake rattle and roll and not just below 2700ish?
>>
>>14040666
i had the same issue with my 90 gmc sierra it was the distributor did the exact same thing for 2 weeks then started stalling out
>>
>>14040666
if you know for a fact your fuel system is clean, check all your mounts sounds like the rubber is gone. thats why its shuddering when you said turn, the noise goes when turning left means it could be steering bushings as its transfering weight to the opposite side.
>>14040721
the differential rubbers. the grinding sounds like you diff needs a rebuild anyway

It spent most of its life running on 5 cylinders and it ran fine like that and I had no idea until replaced the plugs. It ran great on 5 cylinders though

The bushings that are right above the rear differential. It might be different on a Ford but on every Subaru ever, if the bushings are cracked, the car will buck around if you floor it at low RPMs.

Depends how fucked the wiring is?

I know shit all about cars why the fuck am i even commenting

>>14040742
I'd there a way to go about checking the distributor? I don't know because it's been doing this for many months

I don't know what I'm looking for

But the ranger doen't have a frame mounted diff. Can't be that.

You have a solid rear axle, you don't have bushings supporting the diff.

loss of power shaking under load is something Ignition or fuel related, or possibly a bad joint or trans mounts

But given the behavior of the back firing I would say its engine related.
