Sadly 400's make nowhere near at the wheels plus how heavy they are makes them feel extremely slow. But I like SC's ive had a couple. One 400 the other was a 300 1JZ swap.

Your sti makes like 220hp atw and its engine is rated at 300hp.. A 400 makes more like 250hp atw.

What's your point? Pretty sure an automotive forum is aware of drivetrain losses and op never claimed it was alot of power or fast he just said it was perfect for him.

If the previous owner liked to launch the car, more than likely the transfer case(Volvo calls this the angle gear) will be toast. The differential electronic module(DEM) sits too close to the exhaust and can die from the heat. The 4C suspension is roughly $300 per shock/strut when they need to be replaced. Like the other 5 cylinder Volvos, the PCV system gets clogged if the previous owner didn't use good oil or didn't change the oil frequently enough. Search the glove test on swedespeed and it'll show you how to test the PCV system. Timing belts are due at 90k. On the automatics the radiator can sometimes let antifreeze into the transmission fluid which is pretty much a kiss of death for the tranny. A glycol test can be performed on the transmission fluid to check for this. The stock wheels are easily bent, and the ride is harsh with the 18" factory wheels. Don't expect the in dash CD changer to work for long, mine works but I just went with a GROM bluetooth adapter to avoid the whole thing. If you have even the slightest desire to upgrade the shit out of one, it's the wrong car. The cylinder walls are thin and crack prone, and the AWD is too frail to risk it. Droopy lip is rather common. Parking brake shoe delamination is quick to ruin to your day.

The good...
Along with the 2006, the 2007 has AWD system that responds slightly faster.
2007 has extra aluminum interior trim. I'm a sucker for aluminum so maybe that's just me.
2007 has the side markers in the door mirrors which makes them impossible to lose in the fenders like the 2004-2006s.
Late 2007s had AUX jacks in the center console.
Compass in the rear view mirror for 2007.
No god damned V-band OTE pipe in the 2006 and 2007 models.
Comfy as fuck.
Women love this car, not guaranteed to be the type of women you want though.
Did I mention comfy as fuck? Cause seriously, most comfortable car I've ever been in.

the base RSX can run on 87 octane, but for the Type-S you gotta put premium.
Because the car's so small, there's not much room. no center console, no headroom if you're tall, and the backseats are uncomfortable for most adults.
It's actually not as light as you think it is; it weighs about as much as a corolla from the same year
also the gears are so close together first is pretty much useless except for getting the car rolling.

I drive a 1985 Dodge Ram Prospector. 318 V8, automatic transmission.

Bought it from the original owner who worked with my dad. Had 102,000 miles on it at the time. My long time mechanic also knew the man and verified that he bought the truck brand new and regularly brought it to him for maintenance.

I paid $1,300 for the truck, and have been driving it daily for 2-3 years. The only things I've done to the truck are flush the radiator, replace a couple flat tires and one battery. By far the best vehicle I've ever owned.

I have a couple issues I still need to get fixed. I have a small power steering leak, probably something very simple. I also have a small pull on my battery. If I let it sit for a couple days it won't start. Instead of fixing it I've been disconnecting my battery overnight for about a year.

Before the Dodge I owned a 1976 Jeep J10 Golden Eagle. AMC 360 Quadra-Trac.

It was in great shape, other than the rust, which seems to be an issue with most older Jeeps (maybe no factory undercoating?).

It was a fucking tank and probably my favorite vehicle as far as looks go. I paid $2,000 for the truck, it was an impulse buy. I ended up selling it for $1,200 because of a wiring issue that no one could seem to fix.

I would be driving down the road, hit a bump, and the truck would die. I can't recall how many times I was left stranded and had to call a tow truck, but it was definitely over 15 times.

I don't know what the issue was. I also don't know why four different shops tried an failed to fix it. I just couldn't afford to keep it the way it was.

200 Mazda 626 GF Sedan 1.8

pros
>660 km on 25 euros in yurop (7.5l per 100km on LPG, could be 7l on 98 petrol) is bloody fucking cheap for a car that cost 1500 euros. For yurop
>its very reliable. know a guy who runs basically the same car for 15 years with minor upkeep required
>rust wise visually it has held up nicely in comparison to other 626`s and newer 6`s especially. 3`s dont need to be mentioned even
>The interior is spacious and nicely equipped. climate control yeah.
>the engine has surprising low end grunt for a 1.8 100hp. could be something width the cams being set up to give more power in the lower end because its fairly gutless above. American 2.0 liter version make more hp, yet have lower compression, so i dunno, something with the cams maybe. good enough for the city and overtakes. still, is a tad weak.
>big ass boot with foldable rear seats
>I like how dull it is. its just a sedan
>there is enough space and some left for a 6.5 man

cons
>its dull...
>its dull to drive
>the fucking rust. the previous owner was a cunt and didnt bother washing the car in the winter, so it devoleped some bad rust in the rear wheel wells. If i hadnt checked the car occasionally and done some welding and rust proofing, it would be in trouble next spring. scrap basically, because the rear end would have rusted out. fucking japs, the rust protection in the rear wheel wells is fucking terrible. as soon as there is some minor ding in the protective gunk covering the metal, it lets in water and air, and the rest is obvious- could put a fist in my boot pocket. also the rear wells are showing rust bubbles on the outside, and the underside of both passanger side doors needs attention.

>Feels like it should have a 6th gear
>>
>>14048471
I was thinking about getting a cold air intake, more for the sound than anything else

OEM fog lamps for extra visibility to others at night and during foggy days.

Maybe attempt finding heated side view mirrors to retrofit on. Having to wipe off my mirrors on cold mornings is tiring.

I thought about a cat-back exhaust but I'll probably skip on that. Probably isn't worth the money for what I'd get in return.

Sadly there isn't much aftermarket support for the 1.6l N/A since the ST gets all the attention.
>>
>>14053624

Do you really get torque steer? I think there may be something wrong with yours because mine does not and I drive with traction control off, mine is however the mazdaspeed6, I don't know if there's a difference between the euro and American spec cars. For me it just throws the power to the back wheels on acceleration.
>>
>>14054787
The 3 MPS/MS3 is FWD, not AWD like the 6. Throwing nearly 256HP at the front wheels causes a lot of torque steer if you don't roll onto the power properly.

Adequate power for modern driving

Prefer this body style to 88- trucks

Positrac has helped me in some sticky situations

210hp/300ftlbs
17mpg
Wind noise like a jet
Speedo rarely works

Truthfully, with the 3.73 rear end and 3.something first gear in the 700r4, it feels like it wants to do a wheelie when you floor it to 30mph or so. I love my truck to death but this drivetrain would be way more fun in a turd gen or something. The old burb sings a sweet melody at a slow tempo.
