get a garage

go karts/small motorcycles and rent out a storage space that has electricity. you need money

Yeah... if you're trying to do this on your own without a private space to keep the car and it's parts (AKA a garage) you're fucked.

Second best bet is to try and "intern" at some repair shops, just go to the nearest legit shop that's not corporate run and talk with the owner, see if he'll let you come over and take a look at how they do things in your free time, do this enough, involve yourself a bit with simple repairs while watching how the big jobs get done.

that might actually work

If you're in the GVA area there's a free diy garage in coquitlam. They're upgrading to a 3-bay and getting a dyno, multiple lifts.

That's what i doing, I change oils and learn while getting acsses to lifts and every tool I could think of. Also working without tools is not fun.

If you can't find a place be prepared to drop like 2k on tools, maybe 1 if you can find a Craigslist special

Buy some tools you fucking bum. They're not even expensive.

I've been fixing cars with nothing but a socket set, a pair of needlenose pliers, wire cutters, and a swiss army knife for years.
Human ingenuity can go a long way.

I got bored really fast with small 2strokes. I tell you get the cheapest car you can find

how about junkyard diving for motors?
