So /o/,

Anyways, post your new rides ITT/future purchases

It's great across the board. I have some minor complains about the 3rd row (but only kids go back there so who gives a funk amiright?) being small. The suede lining is okay but I have a feeling it's going to look like shit in 2 years. Lots of gimmicks like the fridge in the center console and it has a bluray player.

The ride is phenomenal. Mercedes air suspension has jack dick on the magnetic suspension. It's creepy how smooth the ride is.

Another plus is that it takes regular petrol.

>>14038156
>implying they can afford this car.
Nigs cruise around in 2007 cadillac cars at best.

This car is for my wife since we live in a wasp-y area and I wanted her to ha email the best ride for the kids

How is posting two very mid-life crisis car's lap times have any relevance?

Both of those cars are "I own my own plumbing business" rich tier too. Kind of sad since Snek is the only choice at that price point.
>>
Gonna post this in a bunch of threads because I need responses:

/o/'s opinion on the Lancer? It's a 2011 GTS, so it's got that 2.4 instead of the 2.0l in it. I mean, it's not the rally or the evo so its not a speed demon but it's really well priced and it's ANGGRRYYY which I like.

It's only 10K more to get an Escalade, which spread over a 36 month lease really amounted to a $100 per month increase in payment.

What I love about the car is the 3rd generation magnetic suspension. GM leases the technology from Ferrari

People grew up, and some of them had kids (Channers having kids should be a crime against humanity, but hey!) and they had to dump ye olde RX-7s for something that seats more than 4 people.

It's what happened to the resident gear head of my family, whom I happen to be cousins with, he had a nice 240SX kept it immaculate, sold it cause he got married, got kids, and 10 years later, I heard him utter that "He will always drive a minivan now, cause they're roomy" I wonder if his old self would've wanted me to kill him.

>Escalade
>Range Rover
>LX570

I didn't like the reviews of the Range Rover and I've heard some bad things about them falling apart way quicker than any 111K car should.

Lexus has that retarded front grille and iPad glued to the center dash. Plus 90K for a premium Toyota is crazy.

None of the SUVs we test drove had the same level of comfort while driving around.

tbqh I was looking for the ride of a minivan without actually having to own a minivan.

The front LEDs look sexy as fuck for photos. I wish I could post the picture I took when I brought the car home to her and parked it in the front. Was gorgeous but I know some autistic fag would find my address using a mixture of Google street view/OCD

I could order a new 370z nismo for 40k€ until the 22th of December.
After that date it will be 1,8k€ more. The dealer would take my current car for 16k€ but I think I'll try to sell it myself (aiming for ~18k€).
I got ~30k€ sitting around with no intentions of marrying my gf or buying a house.
I-I really enjoyed the nismo, pigfat or not.

Pick two.

NEVER pay up front on anything man. Roll it into the finance. With most car companies doing 0%APR for 36 months or 0.9% for 72 months there is NO incentive to pay up front. Please keep your money in your pocket.
>>
>>14043375

>>
>>14049480
That's what I'm saying. I wouldn't pay that much for any Toyota or re-badged Toyota.

It's just like the Dodge Viper. Arguably the best car out there for the money, yet nobody is buying it because it's a Dodge.

Plus, since I lease vehicles I never have to worry about repairs. If I was buying a car at that price point I would look into a Toyota then.
>>
>>14049486
>Aftermarket suspension
>On a lease.

I like the Grand Cherokee, but the only one worth buying is the SRT version. Which isn't far off from the Escalade price.
>>
>>14049469
I probably will finance it over 36 months @2.99% without any insurances. I did the maths and it's cheaper than the Nissan "0%" for 24 months one, where you automatically opt-in for all that extra fluff.
But I also don't see why paying upfront would be that terrible desu.
I've got the money, I don't need it.
>>
>>14049509
I cannot stress how important it is to stay financially solvent. You're literally "investing" 40K into a depreciating asset. Just pay your monthly bill out of your current wage and build your credit. You never know when 40K can come in handy.

Seriously. Put 0 (zero) down on that vehicle and roll the taxes and title fees into the loan if possible.

Unless you swap cars out every 3 years then get the 72 month loan and if you want to just pay more per month.
>>
>>14049539
Welp, as already stated I'll most likely finance it over 36 months.
Anyone itt driven the car? What's your opinion regarding the car, the old engine and so on. Am I being stupid because I had too much fun?

>Anyone itt driven the car? What's your opinion regarding the car, the old engine and so on. Am I being stupid because I had too much fun?

Im a tallfag so I've never been able to drive coupes but getting a car like that for your daily driver will get old really quickly. Especially if you live in Europe. If youre getting the 40K base model then might I suggest getting something else but getting all the upgrades?

I also drive a Honda Accord 15 V6 and I love the shit out of that car.
>>
>>14049573
It's the 47k€ MSRP got-everything post-facelift nismo model.
Found the dealer at "Essen Motorshow" [Fair].
I walked around the Z for about an hour then he came along and asked if I was interested.
We talked for another two hours (old z's and stuff) and he said that the car right there would cost 40k as a fair-only price. He offered that I could test his personal Z in which he arrived and later visit him at the dealership to drive the car in non-nismo and nismo trim to feel the difference.
I would get a fresh nismo 370z in white for 40k€ (offer stands until the 22th of Dec.), the car is on a ship right now, waiting for me to buy it.
If I do buy it it will be my dd.

CPA here... Don't brag about owning your own business, its not that hard.

Plus you're all wrong, and you're all right.

Whether you lease or buy with financing, on the books its similar.
There's something called "depreciation expense."

Why pay for 100% of the asset when you're only going to use it a bit at a time? Plus, there are limitations as to the amount of tax deductions you a business can take when purchasing new equipment.
Section 179 - limited to $25,000 per year. Over $200,000 and that deduction is reduced 1:1 for every dollar over $200k.

The point is, do whats right for YOU. Not the greater good. Fuck the greater good.

I hope to gain more wealth, but I will not cut my fellow man's throat to do it.

I'm saddened that you see that as an inevitability.
Though I may venture to guess that doing so makes it all the more rational to you.
It's an easier choice to join the evil side if they are going to win anyway right?

I'll not tell you that your way of life is killing the world.
I don't think you care.

I wonder if your idea of making the world better extends beyond making more copies of your house slave self thereby propping up this misery machine.

But you probably would say/think making the world a better place is for those misguided idealists.

But I'm just a low income jelly scrub right :-)

You are either nescient or ignorant

I'm leaning toward the later consider some one pays enough for that truck

You are agreeing the one point I aggreed with you on...get it

You refuse to acknowledge how that decision impacts our species

I'm mean...it's cost NOTHING to dump your used oil in your neighbors yard so you should do that right?

Like my last girlfriend "love" is a bit strong! My Acura CL was killed in a freak hailstorm, so I bought the Fusion SEL (I wanted Sport) AWD to hold me over until I got a Mustang. However, life happened, I got a promotion and I got really busy, had a broken heart which I'm still recovering from; to towards the end of Winter the Fusion gets replaced with a Stang.

Having said that, I hated American cars. The Fusion surprised me in terms of build quality, power, performance, and features. Considered I paid less than $14k (US), it does everything I need. It won't pick up chicks, but it will transport them and their friends in relative comfort.
Mine is a 2012, the '13s and newer are even better.

Correct.
Take it from a guy who has been through three years of unemployment - and didn't get unemployment compensation thanks to a loophole in PA law.
The government, your neighbor, the community won't help you when you're down. Don't think they will.
>>
>>14050878
They are your mirror.
You get what you put into this world.
I'm just trying to make the one I live in better FOR ME by making it better FOR OTHERS.
It's the same principle of surrounding yourself with people you want to be emulate to better yourself.
It's just missing the creative side.
BE the good people you want around you too.
I'm pretty sure I'll not convince OP or the CPA of anything(ya never know!).
But maybe others reading this can take away something of value.

Even if it's "do the opposite of the hydroshop guy to get mo richer"
>>
>>14050869

Correct.
Again, CPA here, plus I have a Masters in business. More small businesses, more competition.
Where I live, older small businesses who have been coasting for the past 20+ years are failing thanks to more people moving into the area and starting their own. An all too common tale.
>>
>>14050909

Wrong, and idealistic way of thinking of the world. I wish what you said was true, it isn't.
Being civil and letting my neighbor borrow my lawnmower is not the same as taking out a loan or leasing a delivery truck.
The first chance somebody gets, they'll take whats rightfully yours, and the law will be on their side.

I guess you never heard of being the bigger man?

Do you know what that means?

Things like doing the right thing no matter your pride or hardship maybe?

When it comes down to it you are not be responsible for your actions.

It shouldn't matter what the other kids are doing.
A good man does what's right to the best of his abilities.

Or we could do it your way...and if the other kids make bad decisions I'll make them too! Because it's right now cause reasons!@!

Caddliac bro here. Most small businesses I see failing are unable to adapt to include online models. Brick and mortar establishments getting rekt.

You forgot to include the fact I get to write of mileage too. Shame I can't write off the depreciation like I used to back in 2010

Also you're wasting your time arguing with this kid.

I wish you were closed to me. I would hire you. I need a new CPA as mine doesn't maximize my deductions.

>I wouldn't touch anything "luxury" with a 10 foot pole after 50k miles.

The glory of the Escalade is that mechanically it's very similar to all of GM's other non-luxury full size trucks and SUVs.

You get the luxo interior without the finicky high maintenance "exclusive" driveline and electronics.

Not on a resume is doesn't kiddo. Keep telling yourself that. Understanding the principles of business is just as important if not more so than experience.

>>14051003

Most small businesses are unable to adapt to any changing conditions. Around here, business that were started 40 years ago, by "self made men" are going under. Why? They don't have the education to figure out how to compete with the new kids down the street.
I'm in the auto biz. We use tools like vAuto to set our pricing. Other dealers don't. They rely on their "gut." What happens? Customers drive five hours just to buy a car from us.

I want this with aftermarket supercharger, aero, intake, and exhaust sometime in the next half decade. It'd probably just be cheaper to get a car that's already fast when stock though. Not to mention I might as well tell my insurance company I'm a street racer.

It's like idiots don't understand that intelligent credit use helps everyone and unintelligent credit use helps only the bank.

Low cost money is high velocity money, and high velocity money is good for everyone.

Take the 0 down loan at .9%, earn 8% on what would have been your down payment, be wealthier, help others be wealthier.

Never carry a balance on debt higher than inflation.

>>
>>14053402
what YOU are not seeing is that a ZERO interest loan helps the bank

100% of the time
i dont care what bullshit obfuscation you have in your head about how you think money creation works
but they CREATE the money for your loan and you pay it back with real money
earned from labor
so when you pay back a loan they make the interest AND the principle
>>
>>14053673
Banks get their money from the US Treasury Department you dingus. They borrow the money at a lower rate than what they charge when lending to you.

IE: bank borrows 1 million from the treasury department @ .03% APR then they charge you 3.03%APR on that same million they turned around and loaned to you.
>>
>>14053708
Banks get their money from depositors. The US Treasury get's it's money from the Federal Reserve Bank.

Yes and?

A dollar earned for labor was created somewhere along the way, and a dollar not paid cash for the labor of the employees of the Cadillac dealership/factory/design shop/engineers/ etc earns 8% interest if you're not a moron.

So take the 1% interest money to buy your depreciating asset, and make 8% on your saved principle, to end up with more money in your pocket than you would have had if you'd paid cash like the clueless fucking scrub you are. When an interest rate is under prime, and the asset for sale isn't going to appreciate (IE isn't an investment), paying cash instead of taking a loan is bad for you.

The loans that hurt the poor and fuck the economy aren't prime grade loans given to Johnny Has-a-future, they're the sub prime loans offered to Sally White-trash or Dejarious Bix-nood. Predatory lending is not a good lease deal on an Escalade, predatory lending is 12.5% on a Corolla.
