You may as well. I'm using a corolla since I can do a lot of the work cheap, or jury rig shit to work. Eg, good chance I'll get an inlet manifold fabricated and pull some 40mm R1 Mikuni carbs and just fit the biggest jets I can get from dynojet. I wanted to use 45mm Webers, but that way is hilariously cheaper and feels dodgier.
Depending on how it goes I'd ultimately like to do some handling upgrades and maybe track it. Figure it I slam it into a wall I can just swap everything into a new body.
I wanted to do a 13B swap, but I feel like it'd make more sense for me to just buy an FC. We'll see what happens though.

I'm a two-stroke fan, rotaries are the closest thing I can get to "driving" a motorcycle in a car.
I wanted to do a single turbo conversion (GT35R) on a 13B with electronic boost control and some minor mods. Wasn't really looking for more power since a stock setup would be ballistic in something as light as a KE70, but I figure deleting all the vacuum lines would do wonders for reliability.
I started asking around though and it looked like it would almost definitely end up costing enough that I should've just bought an FC to begin with. So I'll take my excuse to buy an RX-7 when I can haha.
I'm really hoping the build goes well though. A good friend of mine who has never really been into cars wants to help a bit. He's been getting more into the idea of picking up a manual shit box to have fun in.

XG (basically XF) stub axles bolt on almost without modification. You need a little cone spacer for the tie rod end, that's it. Says a lot about how Ford Australia really cared about front suspension development between 1964 and 1990

Yeah, I was going to do a similar project but with an XR. Drop in XF running gear, swap in AU 6cyl. you can use EA mounts on the X series to drop in E series 6 cylinders for XR+, Not sure about XM, XP range. It should be a nice daily with the XF running gear.

I actually got my head under it, and it has a removable cross member, which I didn't realise, I thought all falcons had an integral one. Should make dropping the motor out in the paddock a lot easier. This is inviting trouble... but it should also make the new motor a really easy fit. The crossmember is kinda tiny.
