For my first car I want an odd looking car that doesn't cost more than 2G. It doesn't even have to be powerful, just look fucking weird.
I'd like it to look like a hybrid of Mad Max and something out of Rob Zombie. I have an uncle who can make sculptures and he said he'd make me some fake exhaust pipes and hood ornaments if I wanted.
Any ideas ? I'm willing to pay for paint jobs and such, I'd just like to drive around in something that looks like it could take on the end of the world (but doesn't really need to have the power too) and gets more than 25 MPG.
>>
You will just look like a faggot.
>>
>>14027169
I don't care.
I'd also like it to be street legal, if that wasn't obvious.

Something that looks PA isnt going to get 25 MPG.
>>
>>14027193
Ok. So what looks PA that gets shitty gas mileage?
>>
>>14027197

Anything with shitty black paint, knobby tires, and stupid shit welded to it.

Want that look? Start with a k10 blazer or chevy truck.

>>14027212
Thanks for the suggestions. I was thinking of getting an OldsMobile Cuttlass from Cragislist and fixing it up a little bit.

The Saab 99 is weird looking to start with.
>>

>street legal
Well that rules out just about every modification you can imagine.
>>
Well for starters, if you're willing to pay thousands for paint, you'll probably just want to initially buy a more valuable car with older paint, especially considering you want more of a rat rod look. With a 2k budget, you'll probably just be buying into a nightmare. Save up some more and buy a good running V8, RWD car that isn't completely molested.

If you want a classic, I'd suggest something like a dodge dart or firebird/camaro.

If you want a modern car, I'd suggest a retired police cruiser like a Crown Vic.

If you want something inbetween, I'd suggest a Cutlass, Monte Carlo or Regal.

Fake scoops and fake exhausts are the epitome of faggotry. You can pull off post-apocalyptic, just not with faggotry, or with 25MPG.
>>
>>14027648

Not in AZ.
Lights?
Windshield or goggles?
Title?

Good to go.

Eagle SX4. You're welcome. Also, I really feel like a Dodge Rampage has potential here. Plus the name is awesome.

He did say less than 2g i am pretty sure a falcon cobra is worth somewhere in $250,000 range.

When I was growing up a friend of my father's had one and it was pretty bad, over 100mph there would be stuff like the bonnet intakes falling off. That and the build quality was literally what it was- thrown together from bits.
Much preferred my Landau, plus it had the 351

If you want to actually survive in a post-apocalyptic dystopia, I'd suggest early 90's Hilux with 4x4, well serviced turbo diesel and extra fuel on the bed.

Half had the 351, then the other half- later models had the 302. Which isn't a 'bad' engine, but lacks a lot of the torque, they rev quite nicely if you ever get to see a Goss special as well they're a much better car overall than the Cobra

Depends what sort of car you're really looking for OP. I'd say a KE30 Corolla if you're willing to drop cash on a paint job to make it look a bit more PA, or a TD Toyota Hilux. With the right mods (both cosmetic and mechanical) a Hilux would probably survive a real apocalypse, plus a secondhand one is fairly cheap (at least here in AUS) and even an idiot could figure out how to fix it when something goes wrong.
