Well the Viper doesn't cheat by making itself made out of all carbon fiber.
It also is more pure because it has more cylinders, which add weight so it's harder for it to be lightweight. The koenigsegg is also a bunch more expensive for only 5 seconds faster than the last record at spa, so that extra couple million isn't even worth it.

I mean like the Viper isn't 100% fancy too fast for it's own good light as a gokart, so it's unfair to compare the two.
Besides I could drive my Viper within a reason of setting a really good time, the koenigsegg isn't nearly as refined and is harder to do the same time in because it's faster, so even if you had a koenigsegg it wouldn't even matter because the viper isn't above my skill level.

The koenigsegg is a lot twitchier and gets up to speed too fast so you have to really watch your throttle usage, making it harder than the viper.

These are the cream of the crop, the best drives in the world, and they die with an alarmingly high rate.
Personally, I am an above average driver, competed in carts as a kid, make it to the track when I can and I have no illusions what so ever that I could drive an ACR Viper at its potential much less not die immediately in an F1 car.
But please, prove us all wrong, go become an F1 driver, it shouldn't be too hard.

To be quite honest the latest Vipers are easy to drive hard. Have been since the third generation. Of course the owners will never admit it (they kinda like the hairy chested image the Viper has), but 345 section rear rubber and a buttload of downforce really does help stabilise the car, even with that much horsepower.
