I have my old Nexus 7 mounted on my dash and use Torque to monitor what is available.
Also use it for navigation.
I have two commercial telematics devices plugged in, so I don't really need a separate reader.

Got one; using with a samsung S4 via BT. Works well, solid APP too (torque pro).
Anyone know if the BT dongle works with VCDS/VAG?
If you have an IPhone make sure to get the wifi one and not the bluetooth one. Since the IPhone cant connect to the device via bluetooth.

I do the same thing, I also use the nexus as my music player as I put it where my radio was (under $50 fix if you have a nexus lying around.
