Looking for input on a 90's era 300ZX. Always wanted one, but very few in my area.
>pic related, literally only one at dealerships.
None of the CL ones really interested me that were in the same price-range.
I would like to inform /o/ that I -am- aware this will be a WIP car and might not always be drive-able. As such, I'm looking into also buying the cutest Celica known to auto as a DD.

Other than OP pic, the only two that I'd be interested in (one of which I have no interest in because of the price) are as follows

really like this one, they didn't replace the sex quad exhausts with some bullshit looking ones like the last owner of OP pic did.

Only Twin Turbo in the area, beautiful exterior and interior, but for 15k I could quite literally go buy a 370Z and be much happier with a warranty.

pic of ruined ass end of 300zx in OP pic

and the absolutely cutest celica known to man for the DD.
Man that Z is nice..... OP check the Facebook pages (300ZX Buy and Sell for example) for a Z near you. That Z is sweet but I'm sure you can find a cheaper (and obviously less modified) one near you. I am glad more Z32 threads are popping up lately.

Tfw only drag racing is popular in my area
>>14020512
I would be OK with this. I only ever did street races in my Z. Streetlights and highway pulls to be specific.
>>14020402
Whatever you do, don't get an automatic Z

I agree unless you are using it for drag racing, I still would not switch even if I was taking to to the strip but to each their own.

I just mean that there's no real scene for street/technical racing so street/technical cars are pretty rare.
I have trouble finding a fucking Miata in this city.
There are THREE (REEEEEE) MR2's in my area.
Mustangs, small trucks, and beamers? fucking everywhere.
I honestly don't much care about street "racing" (the quality of the streets around me is atrocious, i couldn't even think of maintaining a speed over 70 unless I was in my truck)
I'd use it as an interstate carver, because those two-lane two-way roads are the closest I get to a touge, and they go through literally hundreds of miles.
Only "advantage" of living in Texas is you run out of gas before you get out.

tranny swap was my first priority if I did.

it says it's public but my request to join hasn't been approved?

case

Usually takes a while to get in give it a day or two. Man I lived taking my Z on freeway doing 130+.

point.

highway carving interest me, but there are very few highways in Texas that well-maintained outside of the greater Dallas County area, and even then it's pretty sketchy.
>be me
>16
>driving for first trip
>picking up uncle from Lufkin for Thanksgiving
>I'm in my truck
>2007 Mitsubishi Raider, lowest trim, bone stock
>great suspension though
>driving along
>see black spot on road
>huh
>thump
>oh fuck that was sketchy
>(insert appropriate comic book noises simulating tire blowing out)
turns out there was a literal fucking dropoff of about 8 inches between this slab of rocks and the next.
Fuck Texas.

New Mexico here. Loved driving on I-25 at night pegged speedo once but don't have pic (yes taking video of this was dumb enough but oh well)
>>14020716
no judgement here, you're allowed to do what you want you know?
been to new mexico once for a few hours, ex gf wanted to see Carlsbad Caverns, so I took her.
Not nearly long enough to get any feel for the area though.
