Just over a week... December 19th, a week from Saturday. Meeting at Tropical Park in Miami (Bird Rd and the Palmetto I think?). Get some grillin' and chillin' done there. Admire shitboxes, the usual. Then hooning out west and eventually probably South Beach later at night.

The plan was to head out west on the Tamiami Trail. Then eventually head back to Miami and I still want to cruise thru South Beach and people watch when it gets a little later.
Final route is still open to interpretation a little bit. I figure we talk it over and get a consensus when we meet up at Tropical Park.
Also we gotta figure out if we are going to hit up that arcade. It isn't far from the park and I guess they have Initial D.
We also need to figure out who is bringing what as far as food and drinks and all that good stuff. I'm just figuring we do burgers and hot dogs and easy stuff like that. But then we still need plates and napkins, some chips, soda and water, maybe condiments. And a grill and some charcoal! I don't have a portable grill, just a big propane one. They are cheap enough if I have to end up buying one just for this, but some of you guys gotta bring some stuff too so I don't go broke over this.
MR2 bro was down to bring some food I know. And I have a handful of people's e-mails who were interested so I could ask them. I'm lazy as shit tho, not sure why I am trying to plan this all.

Ramps are fun. You really won't find any windy roads or elevation changes in east south florida though.
I will say this. There is only one touge in Florida I know of. There aren't any turns over 50 degrees on it, but they are pretty constant, numerous, some crazy elevation changes like a rollercoaster, and worn tight road next to the ocean.
It's called South Indian River Drive and it's amazing. Not well known at all cause maps make it look like a straight shot, but good fucking luck driving straight on that road after passing walton going North. It just goes up and down- side to side with the shore some deep winding pits. Absolutely ridiculous. If you haven't driven on it please check it out cause street view does it no justice.

I organized a meet once. I think we met at around 9. dicked around in a parking ot for maybe 30 minutes. then when to one guys house for another 30-45 minutes, then just went on a cruise. I think it was about 5 by the time we split ways at the end of the nice driving road. I would suggest meetin earlier. Like 10 like you said before. HAng out and wait for everyone to show up. Short cruise then lunch, then a long cruise, then yall can do a dinner type thing and go to the beach to hang out as sun falls.
A night meet would be fun, but probably a better idea to save for the next meetup. Its harder to drive spiritedly in winding roads when you cant see 100%.

If you had to commute to and from Miami every day and sit in stop and go traffic on I-95 for 4hrs a day, that would be a little easier with an automatic. I did for a little while. The i95 traffic wore on me and my car now is auto. There is a ton of congestion in South Florida now, especially over the last 5 to 10 years.
Also the more recently essentially made i95 from a nice wide 6 lane highway into a 4 lane that is now congested as fuck now that they added the express 'lanes' separated by plastic pieces that the dumb spics drive over and end up all over the road. And when there is traffic people will bolt out into the express lanes and cause massive accidents

They are adding those express lanes starting in Fort Lauderdale now too and getting rid of the HOV lane. And you're right, it does fuck it up worse. Going from 6 lanes to 4 lanes plus a divided express lane. But it will generate toll money at least.

Bird bowl has wangan which sucks and initial d 4 which blows too. Arcade odyssey is in Kendall and it's by coins, has stage 3 which is the better version and most people have memory cards(like me) and show up frequently.
Park will always be fine as long as we don't park near the Santa's side I think.

How the hell did I miss this thread for the past few days? Welp, I've been busy. The meet happening on the 19th totally slipped my mind, I feel December has gone by very quickly. I used to run a route on Fort Lauderdale Beach like once a week. Too bad I'm not still over there or I would tell you to look out for the WAT Pepsi Truck.
