Exactly why I chose the BRZ
The WRX feels like a Toyota Corolla with extra drive wheels when you're not on a race track doing normal people speeds. Its too muted, only really fun when you're booking it like a mad man, the car is simply too fast for its own good. Unless my commute had me on a race track every time I wouldn't have fun driving the WRX unless I was trying to get a gold star at this year's treeolympics.
The BRZ is more approachable low speed fun. It reminds me of my old Miata that I could slide around the neighborhood without worrying I'm going to plant it square into a pole.

Do you know how fun a turbo is on a commute? The WRX from 0-60 will beat most any car on the street thanks to turbo+AWD. The new motor makes boost at 2k so that powerband is 100% usable and FUN from 10mph all the way to 80mph. It's a blast in city or highway driving which is what most people do.
A 200hp N/A car is boring as fuck to commute in, the balance and handling of a BRZ is pointless when its in an urban environment.
Even in your BRZ on a twisty street you won't be losing a WRX anyway, AWD grip + turbo + low end torque you're gonna get rekt

Actually, the BRZ is a bit off when it comes to weight distribution. It's pigfat, terrible boxer 4 weighs a whooping 380lbs. Plus a 90lb transmission. For some odd reason they also chose to use an extremely long extended bell housing and shifter extension. That puts more than half of the engine in front of the axle. It's real weight distribution is closer to 55-45. This just proves that every advertising point on this car was a gimmick.
Not to mention, any tracked FI 86s struggle with oil starvation issues. The car was cheaply build on top of that.

Out of state plates, they almost always ignore you. Ontop of that, they know a gtr can't be driven by p players and thus I'm not their main target. I also haven't put a ricer exhaust on, so it's only loud when I actually rev it and turbos spool.
At 2k revs it puts out enough power to daily drive so it's no problem.

Aftermarket extractors and full exhaust system, bought it all as a replacement because all the old stuff was rotting and degrading. The car isn't any louder than stock at all. Will probably have 264 degree cams in at some point next year though.
