Okay so this is gonna sound heretical.
I'm looking at used Skyline HCR32's in Canada to import into the states.
And I'm wondering if I'd be better off getting an automatic gearbox over a manual, for both ease of cruising and maintanence.
I'm not looking to slam it, or track it, or hectic drift it (okay maybe a couple hectic drifts). But I'd think an automatic would let me focus on the driving aspect, as well as dissuade me from tryna do stupid shit in a rare car. Plus, would it have a longer/better lifespan over the manual?
I can drive stick (i'm admittedly rusty, but not incapable.), but i dunno. Plus I'm seeing automatics that are much cheaper than the sticks.

Thoughts?

If you actually can't focus on driving when driving manual you shouldn't be driving and should have your brain function checked.

>ever considering importing an AUTOMATIC HCR32
Why

Because it's a skyline?

They're beyond shit in base model form. You'd be miles better off buying any automatic shit box within 10 miles of you.

A n/a R32 is still rwd, has 160hp~, and weighs like 2700lbs. You would be better off with a Silvia but they aren't too bad if you got it for really cheap.

But you're still going to pay a retard tier price for it because hurr itz a jdmtyte skyline!!!!

Then everywhere you take it everyone will look at you like you're retarded (protip you are) because you paid money for a base model automatic R32
>>
>>14010499
If you paid more than like 3000 dollars for it would be stupid. Especially an automatic. I'm not canadian so I don't know how much money these things go for. Buying an automatic is retarded, might as well buy an auto Civic

>>14010527
He's talking about importing one into the United States, so he'll end up paying at least double that.
