What do you guys think of the 09 Lancer Ralliart? planning on looking at one with 82k miles on it. How reliable is it?

They're pretty good. If it's out of warranty you can flash the transmission controller with the Evo software so you have all the transmission modes.

I personally like it. I had a new 2013 for awhile (needed more space, bought an escalade), but I'm looking at buying a used one now because I miss it. Better than a mazda3 or most others in that segment.

Just make sure you have service records and that all the service has been done. Same as any car. There's no inherent issue with the TC-SST transmission or the rest of the drivetrain.

don't do it man, those TC-SST bullshit trannies shit the bed.
mitsu dosent have spare parts available other than axle seals, pan gasket and the internal TCM. Unless you have good luck finding a reliable rebuilder, if your trans shits the bed you're looking at 15k+ for a new trans.
Canadian prices mind you, also the fluid is RETARDEDLY expensive. Also the filter is a tiny little mann cartridge filter and its like 200 bucks? bullshit lol.

with 82k on the clock, you will have ZERO warranty. The 100k/10yr warranty applies ti the first owner. 2nd owner gets drivetrain warranty till 60k and subsequent owners get squat. So no warranty for sure.

You're gonna tell me they're reliable? This is the 3rd one we've done in the last 2 months. And that's just the ones under warranty, which is 5 years 100k (kilometres) After that you're on your own.

car fax calculates remaining warranty from what the manufacturer advertises in bold and not what is in fine print. If you are the original owner then yes, you would have 17k left.

Also i am unaware of "factory" extended warranties for mitsus. You can probably pay extra for a dealer warranty but beware, those warranties are full of coverage holes especially if you are buy it from a non mitsubishi dealer.

I drove both. The mazda was slow as fuck unless you splurged on the mazdaspeed and hated the feel of the car. My wife liked it's goofy grin though.
