Alright /o/ I'm getting sick of paying a lot for gas. I love to drive a lot everywhere. Don't really care how a car preforms. Just use it to explore. What are some of the best shitboxes out there? Budget is around 3200$ Live in Canada too. Looked for some geo metro but there just isn't any around this area.

I own a Civic coupe and i can honestly say that it's a great car. It gets good gas mileage, it's zippy and fun. Plus, Civics have one of the biggest aftermarkets out there. Buy a used 5,6, or 7th gen and then take your time and build it up.
My car stock made about 170whp. With about 6k put into it over time i'm now making 260whp+super fun suspension.
Pontiac Vibe is a rebadged Toyota Matrix without the rice tax.

i get great gas millage and actually just filled the tank full for $17 this morning
i drive 36 miles to school and back mon-friday and fill up about every 7 days so the small tank does last pretty well

Echos are OK if you want a shitbox that drives, looks, and feels like shit but gives good emmpeegees and reliability. Also there are manual options, so thats a nice treat. Fun fact, the Toyota echo has the same engine that slick ricks first car had!

because you are in Canada i recommend AWD for exploring. i just picked up this for $350. spent another 80 on bondo, paint and tape, and 50 for a safety. for less then $500 I got a decent winter beater. *awd will hurt mpg but its worth it.
