No more 8 cylinders
No more 6 cylinders
No more 5 cylinders
Every car has the same 2.0 but with different turbo boost for each model variant.
Most progressive brand of them all! Sweden shows the way.
Well, when there is no actual need for having a large variety why would you?
Parts get more universal and its easier for workshops to stock up on them
Mechanics will be more experienced with that type of engine
Over the years you'll get more data on that particular engine, and quicker/more precise development can be made on it

Yeah but they lose a huge market of real niggas with displacement needs
>implying real niggas buy anything other than Chevy anyway
good point
>>13986169
>no more Yamaha derived 60° V8
:(
JUST

I thought you'd bring up that... look at Volvo's lineup over the last few years. This is not a brand that is aiming for the boyracers or people with a serious need for power, and I doubt they'd want to try appealing to that crowd anyways.
And if they do; these days a modern 2.0 turbo can get you more than enough power to have a bit of fun
>>13986169
false
you can get the boosted 5 cyl in a bunch of cars still
>>13986260
Those are old models which will be phased out in the near future.
All new models since 2014 or something are exclusively 2.0 inline 4s
Don't forget about the hybrid drivetrain, reaching 400HP using the same 2.0L 4cyl
>Volvo
>progressive ever
only in safety
who gives a fuck, Volvo has been dead for years. the 850 was the beginning of the end and now their cars are Volvo in name only.
>>13986254
that response starts out accurate enough but devolves into total bullshit rapidly as you progress through it.
the type of people who buy volvos, the vast majority anyway, don't even know wtf an engine is so it really doesnt matter.

>Sweden
Aren't they chinese now?
>>13987631
No, sweden is an African colony.
>>13986169
But Will they be RWD.... I'm still waiting on a rwd Volvo..
>>13986218
"Niggas" who want "displacement" generally dont have the noney to pay what volvo wants.

How can you be mad about a 450hp twin turbo i4 with a 87hp rear mounted electric motor supplementing it?
I'll happily take 530hp~ in a family sedan.

The new XC90 looks nice btw

Has Sweden given up? Are they just a nation of betas giving in to Sharia law and bull prepping?
>>13989396
Wonder what firing order that 60* V8 uses. It sounds interesting.
>>13989537
Neo-liberalism is very strong and still on the rise. Leftist movements have gotten stronger as thanks to the shitty campaigning from the right-wing Sweden Democrats, who at this point have made themselves look like nazi fools and completely ruin their own message
This coupled with pretty much all of the larger cities being nearly "taken over" by african and middle-eastern immigrants. Its not as much as people say, but its very noticeable how it has changed over a short period like the last ten years

Kill them
Kill them all Johnny
I5 and I6 are still available in the S60...
>>13989710
is the t6r pretty nice?
>caring about anything volvo post 2000 anyway
>>13989553
Lmao
Can't wait for Sweden to turn into a proper 3rd world shithole.
They deserve it.

>V8 that sounds like an inline 4
Fucking useless.
No wonder why they rather use turbo'd inline 4s now in their big sedans when they get similar power from them.
>>13989553
What are you talking about, SD is pretty much the biggest party now.
They have never been stronger. Lefties are in a constant state of panic these days.
Also i wanna buy the v90 polestar. dis gunna b gud.
Bor du på Södermalm elr?
>>13989994
It's just two I4s stuck together, no shit it sounds like an inline 4
>tfw no swedish grill to be your personal polestar
The only positive thing in this is that the new engines are said to have roller bearing camshafts, which is a pretty cool detail. Also the fact that the turbos are not casted into one with manifolds is a positive thing when considering maintenance costs. I would still prefer a port injected T5 with a Mitsubishi turbo.
