Is Amsoil the best motor oil and oil filter for performance cars?
Please discuss.

No.
Pennzoil Platinum is objectively better, at a molecular level. Amsoil is heavily reliant on marketing and brand loyalty.

Thanks, I will look into that.

Royal purple is not what its used to be.

Overpriced garbage quality.
Surprised to see aut/o/ anons not discussing the things that matter.
Do most of you just let the auto shop mechanics put in what ever cheap oil they have?

My mechanic uses Pennzoil oil and filters, I'm fine with that. It's a base model 4 cylinder RAV4, I'm not getting more out of it by putting in a filter and oil that costs 3x as much.
I find it ironic that most people here drive absolute shitboxes (like some old Crustang), or some pleb-level DD like a Sentra, yet they insist on using full synthetic ultra peformance mega overdrive supernigger oil and filters.

>not wanting your vehicle to last as long as possible
Ok bud

Valvoline is the only answer
Conventional is the best fuck synthetic

>I drive a Toyota RAV4
I could put bacon grease in the engine once a year, and it would still run for 500,000km.
Sorry about your pleb-tier automakers.
