The power isn't the problem. For any generic tuner, it's easy to get a modern BMW to 700, 800 and more hp.
The only thing an EV has going for it, especially one with this much, is torque. Instant, 100% torque.

the engines could output this much, but the battery can only deliver enough energy for 530~hp at once

The Tesla is a more influential design than any current BMW M car. See every current luxury concept over the last 3 months. Especially their interior console setup. And Franz von Holzhausen's designs are less likely to age as bad as a current F-series BMW.
A Car of The Year is never some also-ran that will be forgotten in 10 years.

after reading up on them, I vote tesla, the fact that they are doing the autopilot and the 3 sec to 100kph acceleration features with FREE software updates is the absolute most fucking future thing i've seen. I managed to catch a glimpse of one while on the road, and it looks so modern without trying hard or being overly agressive. time to wait for a more affordable model.
it's almost perfekt
>low wight
>modern technology
>still that roadster feel

official decision, tesla is /o/'s car of the year, we can all leave now
>>13983648
There will be PLENTY of aftermarket suspension, so it's not a big problem at all.
>no snek
Let's fix that.
>>13983648
body roll isn't even a bad thing. If you don't like it aftermarket springs and shocks are pretty cheap
