Junkyard ev swap won't exist. Lithium batteries is considered hazardous, they will most likely get recycled. Some would probably rather scrap all the copper and other materials than use it as an electric car. Working on EV can be dangerous to a backyard mechanic. One mistake hooking up the batteries or super capacitors or anything else will be fatal.

And no, I mean synthetic a bit more synthetic than synthetic oil - in the sense that you input a couple very simple molecules (CO2, H2O and possibly some kind of catalyst) and use <insert science here> to create the more complex molecules you'd want to use (CH-chains).
