Its a font designed to have "no intrinsic meaning in its form"
Not to stand out, designed to be a plane Jain, and carry no emotions, or meaning.
That's what made it popular.
So what car is very plain, and hugely popular?
Not ugly, and not beautiful. Just simple, and elegant.
Want another spoonful?
>>13979485
Probably the Crown Vic: government standard for many applications, easy on the eyes, simple, derided as a faggy car for hipsters and cop wannabes. Sounds about right to me.

Honda Civic or Crown Vic.

Crown Vics are extremely unpopular outside of their use in law enforcement, taxis, and airport shuttles. You rarely ever see someone driving one around that isn't a surplus vehicle.
why is silver the blandest car colour

to be fair any econobox of the 90's fits this description
>>13979547
OK, so what are the connotations does Verdana have that Helvetica avoids? How about Arial? Or Calibri?
Yes, I know I can't into design.
>>13979603
>not beige
>>13979485
>>13979638
This. Beige is so bland there's almost a beauty to it.
I see more Santa Fes driving around than anything else. They are objectively the worst drivers too, worse than BMW and Audi drivers combined.
If I could see every Santa Fe owner killed and dumped in a mass grave, I would be very happy.

COROLLA
Mid 90's Saab 93 coupe
Both are not only swedish, but swedish as fuck. Screams swede. Not too loudly though cause swede
Solid. Understated. Clean, crisp, modern, but not overtly cold with it's open counters (or in case of the saab, it's windows) and curved finials (or for the saab, bumpers)
Blends in with the crowd to the layman but instantly recognizable to those in the know. Still holds up well enough to today's standards of aesthetics. At least it's not a fucking corolla you plebs
Common but not as much as some other san-serif fonts like Arial, which is the corolla of the fonts. Or Tahoma/Veranda/Trebuchet MS which were are common pleb fonts packaged with windows, whereas Helvetica was standard on macs.
Don't worry, I know how much of a tool I sound like.

What font is the honda civic?
>>13980879
I'd have to go for the 900 for the added hipster cred, but nevertheless, if helvetica was a car, it would be a Saab.
And lol at all the burgerclap shitboxes in this thread. What an embarrassment.
>>13980956
Trebuchet or something like that. Friendly, economical (even the bottom part of the lowercase "e" is cut short,) ubiquitous, won't ever die (for better or for worse)
Capital letters aren't too tall but the lowercase forms have plenty of space, reads well at tiny sizes.
Still yawnsville though.
