Also anyone know what HRD is? I notice when i take some photos with my i-phone it has 2 versions, a non-HDR and a HDR, the only difference I can tell is that the HDR photo's have more defined clouds if they're in the background.

HDR photography is when you take an over exposed, under exposed, and perfected exposed image. You then composite these images together to create an HDR image. The point is so you can get everything in the photo without having to loose quality through adjusting levels, shadows, brightness and etc.

You also end up with some really wonky colors if you if the camera does the process itself.

I use a cheap led torch with a homemade softbox, and usually try to make one consistent straight motion for each shot, over a 10-30s exposure time
I combined 2 shots to get that line in that last shot though

A lot of the time it's flaked in post by the phone, you can do it quite simply by applying a filter to the luminance values of an image based on the size of an area and the distance from a luminance change. (You progressively boost the luminance of dark areas in lower it in light ones as you move away from any sharp changes in the original image's brightness) This is far more likely to cause artefacts like >>13975100 than proper multiple exposure HDR, but doesn't require you to take three or more shots without moving the camera. (The very short nodal distance on a smart phone makes this very hard to do even without a shutter)
