do not crush that car. That's a 1993-1997 Pontiac Firebird. Those parts are going to become hard to come by soon. The only body panel on those that was interchangeable with the Camaro sister car was the T-top roof sections. Everything else was Firebird specific.
Mmmmm.... sexy little things.

How much does a yard usually pay for a running car? Been trying to sell a 4th gen VW Jetta with 240k miles and some auto trans problems. Bad solenoid not shifting into fourth I think. It's fixable but I don't even need the car and nobody wants to buy it from me unless this person actually shows up tomorrow. I can literally drive it to my local yard.
>>
>>13974011
Jack dick. Depreciated metal prices and some businesses slowing down won't offer you too much.

Try running it through an auction

Damn. I'll see how this buyer works out tomorrow then. I'm only asking 600 because bottom trim auto Jettas have almost no value.

Ah, it's a Whelen (explains why it has Whelen feet on it). Not a very common one (I can't say I've seen one before), but at the same time probably not very valuable.
Take it off and put it in your office.

Out of curiosity how does one go about getting parts from you guys? The ones here make a massive deal about seeing vehicles you're getting parts from, and I'm trying to find some specific parts for my old truck
>>
>>13974294
You ask if we have the part. If I have the car and part in my inventory I'll ask you if you want to check it out before you buy. Then I have my guys pull it for you.
>>
Update on the guy who flaked on us. Unsurprisingly, he did have the money. It's just that, surprise, he got his assets frozen for being really smart by spending over $10k in a day without providing a proper explanation.

We managed to sell the 99 Toyota pickup, with 200k miles for $3500.
>>
>>13974338
Nice! I was pretty worried about you guys on that. Glad to see you made some money.

You get anything with 4.6 DOHC motors? They are hard to find. Usually in Lincoln mk viii, early 2000's mustang cobras, Lincoln aviators and Mercury Marauders. More curious as I'm sure shipping would kill any sort of deal you could get me, I'm in Washington state.

I know that feel. My dad bought a Tacoma once, and the only reason he won it was because it was one of those vehicles that was obvious it was slapped together and tossed into the auction.
We saw horror when it arrived. Not only did they cut up the frame, they tried to weld it back together with the sloppiest welds ever. Splatter EVERYWHERE. I'll post pics tomorrow if I see this thread.

That's why I try to bid on insurance items only. Private sellers are trying to cover their loss in some form or another.

I won the bid on a Chrysler 300 for $900.00. Although it had state Farm stickers it turns out a dealership bought it to fix it and found out the hard way that a 5.7L engine isn't cheap. They wanted $2,300 for it despite not having any usable engine parts.

The 3.4L was offered from 1993 through early 1995. In mid-1995, it was replaced by the series 2 3800 3.8L, so there's a third option as well.

Hey JunkyardBro.
Question. Is there any way you can check if the rear disc setup from a 94-99 Toyota Celica will bolt on a 98-02 Corolla/Prizm?

Doing some research and curious. They have a lot of other swappable parts between them, but I can't find a straight answer as to whether the rear discs will swap over.

>The interchange there is bretty gud
completely useless for this application. That would work if the Corolla/Prizm had been offered with a rear disc setup in America, but they weren't.
That interchange will only tell you if 2 different stock setups are compatible, not if the rear disc setup from the Celica will bolt onto a Corolla as an upgrade.
Make sense now?
