Why isnt there more cars with popups like pic related?
>>13970936
Those are called hide away or other names. Not pop-ups.
>>13970936
Those are hideaway, popups actually pop up.
Nobody has them or popups anymore because they are no longer constrained to standard round or square headlights and can now make the headlights flush with the body. Plus, it's one less thing to break and go wrong, the overall aerodynamics are improved, etc...
They may come back as a trend for awhile, but for the most part those days are long gone.

I thought it was because of crash stuff. Pedestrians not being able to take a nap comfortably on popups or something.

>actually believing /o/ memes

Pop-ups are garbage aerodynamically.
I feel like hidden lights could be good for the shit plastic on headlight assemblies. Would keep them actually protected from UV degradation and yellowing. Just have a sliding metal or painted plastic panel.

It's not entirely false.
Still, >not getting a joke
the c5 corvette had popups all the way till 2004.
>>13973165
>actually being this retarded and not knowing that cars are designed with pedestrian safety in mind

wrong
