How hard would it be to get a New Edge GT Mustang to go 200MPH?
They come with a 3.55 gear ratio, what if I lowered that. How low could I go to get 200mph and how high of horsepower would I need to get there?

Stop it.
Just stop
>>13968219
I'm not going to stop, I'm going to go fast.

Enjoy death.
On less stupid mustang driver on the road
>>13968242
I'll make sure to strike your side of the bus when I do.
>>13968252
>needs higher than W rated tires
Have fun dying.
You plan on doing this on public roads? Fuck off little boy.
>>13968266
How else am I going to piss you off, if you can't see me from your bus?
The GT500 can do 200mph so it shouldn't be that hard
Get a terminator swap and about 600hp
Enjoy your death

A virtually stock terminator can do 170 at the Texas mile. A pulley swap may have just enough ass if you've got a little more real estate to run, but a blower swap would be able to do it no sweat.
>>13968212
not that much. and you would have to raise the diff ratio probally to about 3.00:1 and a twin turbo kit be no good for skids or drags but top speed wil increase. as for how bigger turbo is up to you. it will be a cheaper way into the bonneville 200mph club. personally i dont like the 4.6 because you have to dump a small fortune into it to make it perform how it should have in the first place. remember to put in a roll cage lightens an stiffens the chassis
idk about a gt but a termi would probably be the better choice. your rear gear ratio is going to depend on the transmission you're using(the 6 speed t56 or the standard 5 speed in the gt) and the operating rpm range of the engine you're building.
I've always wondered about this.
You see these corvettes and other american cars with a shit load of power. In fact, more horsepower than bugatti veyrons. Hell sometimes double more horsepower.
Yet they don't ever break 200 horsepower?
Is it because they're all chasing quarter mile times?
If I took a 2400 horsepower twin turbo corvette and lowered its final drive gear, that thing should be able to go bugatti speeds right?
>>13968468
Ahem, excuse me. I mean 200 miles per hour.
>>13968468
>Is it because they're all chasing quarter mile times?
Most of them are doing near 200 in the 1/4.
>>13968402
>it will be a cheaper way into the Bonneville 200mph club.
you don't just join the 200 mph club by going 200, you have to break a record over 200.
that and anyone will be lucky just to race at Bonneville as it stands.
>>13968468
No one really cares about the top speed of a car
>>13968468
Nigger what? The Texas mile 200+ club is a fucking gang of chevrolet and fords.
>>13968468
Top speed is mostly dick waving unless you're on the autobahn, better to gear for the track or the 1/4 mile.
>>13968536
>All those Hayabusas
>>13968539
What's the fastest someone has gone on the autobahn anyway?
And are there any stretches where you could potentially max out something like a veyron?

New edge GTs came with a 3.23 rear.
The cobras have the 3.55
>>13968793
>3.27, not that it matters.
Also interesting side note, a new edge mustang with 4.10's will have a higher top speed than one with 3.27's given everything else is stock.
This is because a a stock GT doesn't have the power to accelerate above 140-150 something(its nowhere near redline at this speed, kn fifth gear). The 4.10's put the engine higher in it's power band, it then has the power to reach a higher speed.

Mine came stock with 3.55. It's a 2004 GT.

New edge GT only came with 3.27s stock.

>200+ MPH on a motorcycle
If there is such a thing as "too fast" that is it
