Also note that the gtr is 20 seconds slower than a small volume road legal yurop car that used same wheels for the record lap than the ones it used to came from uk to the burgerking.

It means something because obviously that means the car is superior, and anyone who drives a slower car is shit. It doesn't matter that the consumer will NEVER reach the hurrdurrring lap time, not that they'll try, but they'll brag constantly about how their car is the best car in the world.
Interior is shit? Doesn't matter, it's .8 seconds faster around Willow Springs.
I'm tired of benchracing. Not that lap times don't matter at all, but if you're trying to compare two high-end supercars and their times are within a couple seconds, there is no difference for the average (or above average) driver.

Then there's those benchracers who jack off when their civic R is faster than a corvette around a single track. Obviously faster, right?
