All of Volvos new engines are inline 4s with turbos using the same block for all gasoline and diesel cars. They go up to 320bhp in the top model

Volvo has an odd naming scheme going on there.
They have their Drive-e engines which are differentiated from their other drive trains despite having the same naming badge.
T5 AWD is 2.5L I5 with a tubro
T5 Drive-e is a 2.0L I4 with a turbo
T6 AWD is a 3.0L, what I think is an I6 with a turbo, or two. I forget.
The T6 Drive-e is that same 2.0L i4 with a super and a turbo on it
T8 is a twin/hybrid engine configuration. I think its one of their Drive-e configurations plus a rear electronic motor.
Further adding to the confusion Volvo said they were going to add AWD to all their Drive-e models, up til now they've been FWD only. Also I believe they're getting rid of the super+turbo setup in favor of some electronically spooled up twin turbo contraption that forces air into the engine like pills into a drug mule.
There really is no simple way to identify all of their drive trains.
