Since I've driven both I can give a non-benchrace perspective.
The Genesis has poor gearing compared to the 370z - if it's on a tight course you feel like you're never in the meager power band of the car
The genesis has less tire in the front than the 370z, so it has a tendancy to push.
Power is meh on both cars.
That being said the interior is okay, a good effort on Hyundai's part.

Neighbor bought a new Z and it ended up costing him around 39k. He bitches about how much it was daily and how sick Nissan is. Also a kid in the neighborhood has a SC v6 stang and always btfo the Z. Guy loves that Z but idk about paying that much for it

370z probably has the better aftermarket selection if thats what you are into. I always thought that a turbo 370z would be pretty fun, and fairly reliable at reasonable boost.

If you got the dough the Z. I can't really speak on Hyundai but I just got a 350 roadster and I love it. I'd definitely consider a 370 but it's too expensive. If you are buying a manual then no questions asked the z is going to be way better. Auto blip ftw

i bought my 2010 nismo with 12k miles on the clock, a 3 year warranty, and exhaust, wheels, and test pipes for 24k.
theres no reason to buy a brand new genesis when you can buy a used nismo for less.
also i work with car wraps and one of our customers has a gen coupe, its really nice but ive spent plenty of time in both interiors and the Z's is less "cool looking" but much better put together.

there is a massive difference between a 3 series and an m3. i came from a 335. i remember when i used to say stupid shit about how the 335 was a competitor. then i got behind the wheel of the M. haha, oh man im so embarassed about the shit i used to say.

I like how the 370 looks. I find it very fun to drive. Just put mine away for the winter (Canada).
I've had my clutch slave cylinder replaced (warranty). People compliment the car and I enjoy every second of driving it.
My good friend has the same feeling about his v6 Genesis.
