The n/a ones are fine. They aren't super fast but they aren't slow for such an old, cheap car. Probably as fast as an FRS.

No not at all. The TT ones were on Porsche and Corvette level of performance. the n/a ones weren't cheap either. It was considered a semi-luxurious grand tourer, it was never supposed to be cheap in any way.

Rust isn't very common with MR2s unless you live way up north where it is an issue with everything. Any old, cheap sports car will be hard to find one that isn't modified to some degree.

80s-90s vettes are getting to be pretty damn cheap nowadays. Hell, some early 2000s ones aren't too bad in price either. The only downside is that you're gonna find more autos than you are manuals.
