Its below freezing all of the time during winter, and for the first few weeks where the temperature may vary below and over freezing it might get wet and some ice will be on it, hence why on those days I'll have to do a little bit of scraping to remove the spots on my windshield, and also hang the tarp up to dry

And actually yes; depression goes up in very large numbers during the winter due to the lack of sun, coined with the term "winter depresion". It happens especially up in the northern parts, where suicide rates go up during these times.
During the winter it'll be completely dark when I wake up for work/school, clear/greyish depending on the clouds from about 9 to 4:30 changing through the season, and its dark when I get back home from work

Oh wow I've heard of Trysil. I am maximum jelly. I love skiing/snowboarding but I live in a NYC. All the good resorts are 5+ hours away. I'm going to Canada for skiing in January just because it's so cheap compared to here; Im paying 350 bucks for 5 nights at a motel, and found a deal where I can get 5 days of skiing lift tickets for 80 bucks.

We opened up now on last Friday. Tons of people on Friday, decent amount on Saturday although the weather was shit (plus-degrees and a small bit of rain), and a low amount of people on Sunday with half a foot of absolutely drenched snow... it has not been a good start snow-wise, but they're reporting that we're finally getting to the below-freezing 24/7 period finally so the snowcannons can operate full time

The biggest problem is geographical placement. You're only 3 hours from the capital, which is great, that's how much I drive to get to a medium-sized ok-ish resort outside of NYC. If I had Trysil 3 hours away I'd be up there every weekend. But that's only the customer base in Oslo. If you're looking to attract people who purposely have to get on a plane just to get to Norway and then go skiing then there's other places they can look into. Chamonix in the Alps is much closer to everybody on mainland Europe.
Your only plus is that you can start your season early. I'm going to Canada end of January because by then there will be a lot of snow, but now there's not even a single centimeter on the ground.
