1990 Mercedes W124 250 Diesel Turbo
-automatic
-air condition switched with an intercooler, ~145hp and 300ish Nm
-Webasto fuel heater, working, from the factory.
-ASD limited slip rear end
-electric front windows and sunroof
523k km's on the clock, 80 of which I've put on it mysel in the past 29 months of ownership.
Rust is beginning to show in the rear wheel wells and fenders, otherwise in excellent condition.

Not really a lot of mods for the 1uz. Companies do make headers, cams, and exhausts but the are hard to come by. I'm going to have a custom cat back straight pipe put in pretty soon for around $450. The cams are $1500 without labour so I'm just not gonna put them in. If you want to find mods for it search Google for good mods and look at the club lexus links and they'll have a few lists of popular mods.

Yup. 95 with LSD and aftermarket intake/headers/exhaust. And holy fuck it's so god damn fun. It's like a go-kart for grown ups. Took it up to 421/321 near Boone and lake Watuga, and shit I've never had so much fun tearing up a curvy mountain road.

I know. My wife's parents have a farm up their, so I get to make it up semi-regularly. If you have a chance to pick up a LSD NA in ok shape, do it. It's basically the perfect weekend project car. Everything on them is dirt cheap, the aftermarket is dirt cheap, they are tremendous amounts of fun, and if you buy on the cheap, you'll never feel bad about thrashing it around

I call bullshit. Everything about these cars is bulletproof. I drove one without a head gasket for two years, just topped off the fluids a couple times a day. 350,000 miles, only ever had to change the converter lockup solenoid, not even a trans filter change. Never changed the fuel filter or pump.
Its natural habitat is on the road, not giving a fuck, not in a garage.

Really nice, as expected of a grand touring luxury car. Handles nicely for a boat too. Also horrible gas wise (15mpg city) but it's nice and torquey and has long ass gears which are good for beating most other cars at highway speeds. I would recommend an SC300 if you could find one though because they have a manual tranny and the sc400 only has auto.
