Does less grip make a car more fun?
>235 tyres on all sides
>AWD
>only 180hp
>literally impossible slide in the dry
Go drive in a wet grass field and judge for yourself

If your goal is to just have fun dicking around, then yes most definitely. If your goal is to actually keep getting power down and come out of a turn at speed going the right direction, then no, unless you're dagumi
>>13946298
but that's not an Audi
>>13946360
Neither is your mam.
>>13946298
there's nothing wrong with FWD
for fucks sake stop harassing us
>>13946425
like I'm not aware
>>13946298
This should be pretty obvious. Plenty of people praise the BR-S for being fun specifically for this reason.
>Prius tires
>RWD
That along with a driver experience focus over a comfort or practicality focus is basically the reason why people buy them and miatas despite them technically being slow.

something like this is on my bucket list

Less grip can make a car more fun, but a better way might be more power!
Try 500whp, AWD, 245s all round and enjoy powerslides and being able to light them up on the launch
>>13946298
no
other wise you would see people out and about in ford model a and Citroen cv2
yes you idiots that is why the BRZ has the wheels off a smart car on it, without skinny arse tyres they would not go sideways anymore.
>>13947259
so tires got wider because car manufacturers thought it'd be more fun to have wider tires? you're retarded.
>>13946434
kek
>>13947305
I've never laughed this hard...
>>13947354
seems you cant read and have never been in a car with narrow tires
>>13947381
my car has 175s
>>13947392
so does your mam.
>>13947332
So you are saying you should install skinny as fuck donut spare steelies on all four wheels?
>>13947433
yes mate
I've never really had fun sliding around corners. I like grip.
Horsepower makes a car more fun. Torque makes it dangerously fun.
>>13946298
245kw/475nm torque at the wheels with 275's all round and I can still light em up like a mad cunt if I really have to.
But the main selling point for all that is traction in the wet or dry which makes the car both fun and fast for what it is.
>>13946298
nah, best feeling in the world is overtaking someone mid corner, and they can't do shit
>>13947392
135/80r13
the suffering is real
but hey it could be worse
>>13947305
what the fuck
>>13946298
Breaking traction increases in fun exponentially with how much traction you have to break.
can we have a countach thread?
>>13946298
you'll be able to slide it. don't focus on the slide, focus on pushing the car's ability to grip. push it and push it until it loses it's grip. then you'll know what it feels like. If I can slide my jeep wrangler in the rain (bad idea) you can slide whatver you got.
>>13946298
if u think having less control is fun then probably...this is coming from someone who drives a old I-beam truck on skinny tires...
>>13947514
Hey 2cvs and 3cvs are great cars.
My dad has one and he's currently restoring it.
He would violently turn and the body would roll like a motherfucker, it looked like it was going to roll over but it never did. Those cars have great suspension.

Because the link isn't exactly eye-catching..
>>13947463
He really should have kept his head in the game.
why dont you ride a motorcyle if you like less grip

Its most fun to drive a car at its limit, weather that be shitbox tires or R888's
When my advan semi slicks wear out I might just go back to shitbox tires, I think I have a lot more car control to learn.
