Not a problem, you can "bore" them out easily with the 1.4L pistons and liners kit that I already have and swap heads. You could easily make it make 85+ horsepower, which is plenty for an econobox that only weighs 1700 pounds.

It was my first car, and it taught me how to drive. Its def a really well designed car, and its a blast to take out. I've driven a lot of cars (have lived in the states a long time, back in france doing College, have gotten to drive everything from a f150 to an range rover to an 86). People that don't know shit about cars here (France) fuckin hate them, because yeah, they're everywhere. However, same can be said for the Peugeot 205 (its common, its everywhere, its driven by old people and fags that frequent japanese internet boards), and like it, people that know cars know that it really is a great little thing.

its far from a land barge: its quick to start, and takes corners super well. It does not however, do well on the highways. So yeah, its slow, but it's nimble. Although, to go anywhere in France, you take the train everywhere, so fuck you. Also, tiny tires, super fun to ebrake.

Can confirm everything he said as an owner myself. I could add that it's really noisy inside when going over 100. It's fast in town, slow on highways. Hoping to import them by 2018 is a bit unrealistic though, since most of them will probably be rusty and/or scrapped by then. The rust is a really huge problem.

Is that the 16v version? I was hoping to get an Initiale in fall this year but settled for an E36 because Initiales were on the opposite side of the country. There was one literally in my town, 16v perfection with the panoramic glass sunroof and leather but it was a quickshift and I've heard it's really expensive to fix so I let it go.

Also, if your car is light and small, of course the risk of injuries is higher than in heavy and huge cars. It's simple physics.
Actually, the first generation Twingo was safer than most of its competitors in its class and in 2000 they heavily strengthened the chassis, making it a lot more safer than the pre-facelift models.
Of course you will probably die if a SUV hits you but saying it is "unsafe" or even "dangerous" is dumb.
