Hello bros
I'm a newcomer when it comes to a BMW.
I had a few Hondas before. And now finally I got some money for a higher class car.
I need some opinions for a BMW 316D SE 2012 model.
I found one with 80 000km (50 000mil), 8 speed auto and it cost around 19 000€.
I am from Europe if you didn't guess already :D
Or should I go for serries 1 2015 with menual? Same price around 20 000km?
many reviews say manula sucks so...
Any help or advice is welcome :D

Series 1 is ok but not "muscular" enough unless it have M pack.
Series 3 is better but look way to serious. to much "business" :D

If you just want a newish beemer as a show of status, it'll do fine, but be aware that a 316d is going to be gutless as shit. Like, 1.4 econobox levels of slow.

Service is not a problem.
I can get original BMW parts for free or max 30% or sale price.
I only play "hands" if service is required.
BTW whats with all the hate towards BMW?
Any other suggestion? Any car that is from 2012. And that it doesn't feel super cheap.
And please no VW. I hate them! Really hate them :)

Seriously though, that BMW will be more gutless than a Honda, while barely having any more "luxury". I don't know if you guys have the new Mazda 6 in Europe, but I'd rather get that than a 316d.
Entry level Beemers are spectacularly meh, you're basically paying through the nose for the badge and higher maintenance costs.
Either go for a "lesser" brand, increase your budget or settle for an older model. The 316d is the worst of all worlds, it's expensive, lacks luxury and is unbelievably uninspiring to drive. Don't do this to yourself.

how about a F20 118d from 2011-2014 model OP?
Pretty sure u can get one for 15-16k in Germany with decent options and less than 60.000 km. Also 118d with 105kw will be quiet fun to drive
