neither are superior they both serve different purposes for different types of driving

if you really wanna do boring to and back from work daily commutes in a manual, more power to you, i'd rather a comfy auto

if you wanna have fun on the weekends? manual is your only option. there is no "driving experience" to be had in an auto.

car bucks and stalls

need to gas it a bit unless diesel lol
>>
>>13929550
wrong
>>
>>13929541
the fact that /o/ can't drive doesn't mean shit
>>
>>13929557
honestly if someone can't grasp the simple concept of a clutch then they have no business driving a car with one and need to just plant their retarded asses down in the seat of a car with two pedals
>>
>>13929541
>throttle to 3k
>dump clutch
>drive manual like a bau5

you're welcome op.
>>
>>13929576
This, burnouts in an automatic are just silly. There's just something about letting the revs hit 6000 and then kicking the clutch
>>
>>13929564
how so?
>>
>>13929648
automatic is the true experience
car and driver are one
i trust my car to do whats right
thats why i win, even when up against manual fags who shit talk
>>
>>13929654
i'm not sure if you are being serious my friend

you flat our have more control over your car when you are driving manual
>>
>>13929654
Also you can exert more dominance over your property

The feeling of knowing you are putting way too much abuse on your car when you can initiate a burnout by letting off the clutch at 2000rpm?

>burnouts in automatics
Strange because the best burnout vehicles are all equipped with autos.

i appreciate my car and it appreciates me

that is why I've won multiple times on the touge and rally scene

It's a hung of metal on wheels it has no feels
>>
>>13929703
Problem bro? I lay sick skids in my 12a and I dont have to dump the clutch at 6 grand to do so. Learn to drive.
>>
>>13929689
>when you can initiate a burnout by letting off the clutch at 2000rpm?

tfw 97 lb/ft at 4800 rpm in a 2200lb car
>>
>>13929718
Same here, I have a little old Japanese csr, the revs need to be up there for it to burn rubber
>>
>>13929575
Are you implying he's wrong? I drive an '08 Civic for a while, and let me tell you, with the exception of starting downhill, you COULD NOT get that car in first without slipping the clutch. Maybe in a parking lot where you can afford to kill the engine, but you would have been a fool to do so in traffic.
>>
>>13929541
Because it keeps pussies such yourself from driving real cars, fag.

>he has to dump the clutch to burn out

I just mash the gas pedal while rolling 50MPH in third gear and the tires start smoking. Maybe you should get a better car with some actual power.
>>
>>13929541
>How is manual supposed to be superior again?

It's not. But not knowing how to operate a manual vehicle makes you inferior.

>>13929669
>tfw TC-SST

Just as good performance-wise. I do miss the traditional gearbox though.
>>
>>13929575
>if u cant drive manuel mustard race u have no business driving

If you're too retarded to accept that automatic is 10x better, you have no business driving a car
>>
>>13929548
>clutch out slowly

Wrong faggot. Good job burning up your clutch.
>>
>>13929541
>1st is broken in auto tranny
>car refuses to skip 1st & ends up sending metal through the entire transmission

>1st is broken in manual tranny
>lmao just take off in 2nd.
>>
>>13929557

This is wrong. Not every car bucks and stalls if you just pull out on the clutch slowly. Nor do the ones that can have to be diesel.
In fact, most shitboxes do this.
>>
>Brakes broke? Use ebrake + engine breaking
>Better economy
>More things to do while driving, FUN
>Manual transmission lasts longer
>1st gear broke? Go to second for off the line starting
>RICING THROUGH THE STREETS GOING THROUGH GEARS LIKE MAD MAX
When I switched DD'ing from a Mazda 6 Auto to a Mazdaspeed 6 (only comes in manual), I will never buy an automatic transmission again.
>>
I can't believe /o/ even THINKS auto is a better transmission in any way, other than driving itself. It uses 20hp from your total bhp through its fluid connection, it shifts slower, boring, and when it breaks it costs a lot more to fix. A true gearhead would drive manual.
>>
>>13931065
Good job taking off jerkily, upsetting your entire drivetrain and making your passengers pissed off. Faggot.
>>
>>13929541

Manual is superior because, unlike an autotragic, which drives for you, in a manual, you decide how to drive.

the reason no consensus is ever reached is because everyone does things differently, adding a level of personalization to their driving experience.
>>
>>13929541
>transmission failure
>drive home in second gear in manual
>wait for a tow truck in auto
>>
>>13930411
wrong
>>
>>13931448
> in a manual, you decide how to drive
since when did shifting become the only aspect of driving
