To be honest, everyone of those tunes are substantially over stated. Confirmed by dyno testing every year at Waterfest. And I do mean SUBSTANTIALLY.

the gtis have been making good power with a chip/tune and exhaust for nearly 15 years
Any post 2000 turbo car picks up huge gainz from a tune because you can up boost
Remove kebab cats from the exhaust and gain good power there as well

I just bought the GTI above. The dealers are literally begging VAG for more cars. They can't keep anything in stock except their horrendous electric Golf. I got $3500 in incentives that included bumper to bumper 6/60000 warranty. In short, my ass is covered for the next six years, and I got a smoking hot little hatchback.

I think I got the same model as you this past summer. 2015 GTI S model? 2 door? Mine's "Carbon Steel Gray".
I haven't done any work to it though. I probably won't, because I'm just lazy.
The exterior styling is a bit bland from most angles.
The turbo lag kinda sucks.
Shifting from 1st to 2nd is not smooth.
I don't like having to disable the Anti-Slip Regulation every time I turn it on, though it only takes one second.
But otherwise, it's comfortable and fun to drive.
It accelerates just fine.
My girlfriend likes riding in it.
Then some asshole somewhere put a ding in my passenger side panel...
Mine looks like the picture, except with the steering wheel on the correct side and less obnoxious wheels.

I traded in a CC w/DSG, and THAT was a horrible driving experience. Turbo lag, horrible shift points, etc. You did not say what transmission you have, but your complaints suggest you have a DSG.

No, I have the 6 speed manual.
They showed me a DSG one and I said no.
Maybe I'm just not very good at driving it.
Maybe I'm still getting comfortable (my last car was a 5 speed '98 Saturn SL2).
But it definitely takes too long to shift to 2nd. It just doesn't accept the stick into the slot right away. I guess I could force it harder, but last time I did that, I broke my Saturn's shifter bushing and then I had zero gears.

Yes, actually, that's pretty much how it works on the consumer end of e-tuning.

bruh, atsv suck and e30 is not an m30, while nice, is just an e30. It's not an m3.
Not bashing the GTI, but you'e really not putting it against something that makes it look like an underdog. It's pretty widely known that VW underrates their engines and is usually one of the better performing hot hatches but they also come at a significant premium. That color scheme makes it look slick as fuck though.

If it's brand new, take it back to the dealer and see if they can adjust the shift gates for smoother shifting. One thing I've found in driving mine is that it responds much better to WOT, especially in the lower gears.

Get a vagcom cable and you can set it to be off automatically on start up. Plus you will be able to fully disable ESP via vagcom

The ATS-V has like 100+ HP on the GTI how isn't it the underdog? More displacement, and twice the turbos. Even if its under rated... It doesn't make it even close to being in the same bracket as the ATS-V
