Also, what is wrong with 50k for a frame off restoration classic? I see more value in that than buying a new sports car off of the dealership lot for the same price. Unless you haven't noticed, restoration work in shops is no longer affordable like it was a decade ago.

Black Gen 2s literally are that rare, and yes, SHOs get incredibly good highway MPG.
My 89 got 30 mpg in the city and my 94 MTX got 33 on the highway. You don't have to rev these things to get them to move.

My manager full frame off'ed his '69 Camaro with custom paint. He said he wouldn't take less than 40 for it since he put 15 into it doing most of it himself and 5 into the paint alone.
He has a monte carlo mildly built, but he never drives either of them beyond the occasional cruise.
