If you're just clamping the exhaust you don't even need to drop the downpipe(s). Just remove the hangers, sawzall or exhaust cutter the muffler off, mock the new muffler and connector pipe(s) up. Trim the connectors and clamp it all together.

Just welded the exhaust back together in my truck. You better be good at oh welding or you will be better off tacking it in, then pulling the exhaust off and doing it up.

Getting them off the rubber is really easy. Spray some wd40 or other oily shit on the rubber and it will slide right off.
Well, I cut the muffler off. It actually sounds really good. Not retardedly loud either. Was going to put a thrush glass pack on but I really like how it sounds right now.
