ITT we post cars, interiors, etc. that give us nostalgic feels. The vehicle doesn't have to have been good, just something you had fond memories of. Pic related is like the van that my family took on road trips for years. Was the first vehicle I ever drove, too. What gives you guys /nostalgia feels?

It's been years since I drove one around for a stint, but I can still feel that wheel and the light touch of the gas pedal bringing a surprisingly zippy V6 to rev.

I still miss it sometimes since none of our current vehicles quite offers the same the laid-back, relaxed driving experience the Rover did. Just for the record, we had the LHD version though.

Grandpa's car. Left it to me when he passed. My first car, i was still in high school.

I was the road trip king in college. Until an F-250 t-boned the fuck out of me anyway.

I wouldn't say no to one if it was in good condition

Parents got a 1998 Sebring Coupe for me in highschool in 2002. 32k miles on it and it was affordable at $8k something.

I had it for the next ten years and I miss it for all the good times as I left HS, through college, and after.

Poor car deserved better, but eventually the North East winter's salt and Chrysler transmission issues killed her.

My mom drove an '01 Outback For 7 years, and it was our roadtrip car because it had room for the dog in back.
Also, yes, she drives stick. When it was icy out she would take us out in the Outback and rip all wheel skids and drifts in empty parking lots.

She's pretty awesome. She did more to teach me how to drive than my dad did because he was still traveling for work a lot when I was 16, so she made me learn how to parallel park our Tribeca instead of the car I would actually be using, my dad's Rio. I got to the test and it was the easiest thing ever. Also taught me stick, of course.
>>
>>13918496
My first car <3

It's such a shit car, but it makes me nostalgic. The ride was harsh, the LRA made it jump around on every bump, the interior plastics were hard and creaked over every bump. But it was fairly reliable and was absolutely great in winter with 4x4. The one thing I really miss about it was that the throttle wasn't by wire, so I had a good intuition on what the engine was doing and could control it perfectly for the conditions (e.g. snow/ice).

Used to work summers with my old man doing renovations, we'd go everywhere with his '96 Vandura, same hub caps, same color except windowless, we'd cruise everywhere, joke about shit, eat lunch, I miss those days.

He added extra links to his leaf springs, shit was a beast, he once put 2 full pallets full cinderblocks in there, dead slow up a hill we somehow made it.

She's retired now, on cinderblocks on his front yard full of his belongings.

I took my driver's test on a 1996 Grand Caravan. The first time I drove it alone I managed to rip a headlight off.
>>
When I was kid, Mum owned an EL Falcon (in manual, not auto) for a whole heap of my childhood. That car went everywhere and I went with it. I was sad as hell when the car got sold off, loved that thing despite it being a big ol' boat and terrible reliability.

Holy shit, I grew up in one of those, same color and everything.
My most nostalgic truck would be an '82 F100. Straight six, column shift, bench seat with a poncho type seat cover and a perforated vinyl steering wheel cover, one of the ones with the cord wrapping around in, sorta stitched on. My grandfather never drove it, just sat in it occasionally and turned it on. I remember him driving it one time while he had it, and that was just around the block. He let me turn the wheel and press the gas while it was in park. It had that old car smell, you've probably smelled it before. Old plastic interior pieces and cigarette smoke. The door open buzzer, the diamond plate running boards, the rust over the rear wheel wells, the missing front Ford logo that we tried to reattach using Gorilla Glue. I miss that truck.

>3 feet of snow rolls in
>Suddenly babby me has a fever and my folks were snowed in
>dad panicked, my grandfather came to take me to the doctor
>He went out that next week to trade the Thunderbird in for a K5 Blazer for a family vehicle

that feely feel. Sadly the body was starting to rust away to the point where the floor was soft to the touch. He misses it.
