So /o/ the first major snowfall of the year has arrived here in Michigan. How are you preparing your vehicle for the coming dorifto times? Also, winter general thread
Pic related, the drift truck and friends
Buying sandbags and building a frame to hold them over the trucks rear axle. Bought winter tires.
Put on my Michelin Alpin winter tires today. That's basically all I have to do apart from shoveling and gritting the driveway when it snows.

Well gents, OP back here, it's 3am and the first hooning session of the season was a rousing success. If you live in the southwest michigan area I'd highly recommend taking advantage of our stupid low gas prices and heading out soon. Godspeed you magnificent bastards
>winter tires on

did a few doughnuts in a parking lot in my genesis then when i went to leave i jumped a curb i didnt see til i was 5 feet away. luckily the like 12 inches of snow mounded over it made it feel like just hitting a large speedbump rather than tearing my bumper off, cracking my rad and intercooler, and generally fucking my shit up. fun times!

Chicagoland here too. almost got rear ended today too in my 300k mile beater but no such luck.
I'm wondering if I should run my 71 sport fury through the winter. I live in Wisconsin where it gets really cold, really snowy, and they use salt on the roads.
My quarter panels are already rusted beyond belief and I have new tires on it. I'm planning on fixing the quarters in the spring.

Down comforter to bundle up in, case you get stranded.

If you actually care about restoring that car you're just going to make everything so much worse. Old cars have tons of nooks and crannies that salt/slush collect in, which is partially why they rust so bad compared to newer cars.
>winter tires
>rust proofing on all the exposed spots
>large rolls of lead in the boot
>new 2 x 70w LED extra headlights tomorrow
Weekly washes and waxing with underbody panel scrubbing.
Fuck you, Wisconsin salt. Seriously.
>>13904392
Got some Michelin snow tires in the mail and I'm resolving as many electrical problems as I can before I can't move my fingers any more. I might do some rust proofing but I'm already planning on replacing the floor next spring anyways
here we go
>>13904392
>slide climate control switch from cool to heat

>>13909136

>live in Houston
>Climate control stays on maximum cold, all year long
The most I will do is turn the a/c off in winter usually.
>Warmer and dryer than average winter expected up North
>tfw its 50 fucking degrees out right now
>last year it snowed in fucking September
>tfw will never rip mad skids in the doofmobile
Fucking south Dakota. I swear to god I find a new reason to get pissed at this state every month.
