Hello /o/
I didn't want to change the oil of my car myself so I went to a mechanic and he changed the oil to 10w30 semi-synthetic in my 2102 Toyota Aygo, 1.0 liter, petrol engine.
I don't which oil was before, and I want to know if the oil viscosity the mechanic used is ok, and also if it's ok to change to 5w30 next time i'll change the oil myself.

>10W30
Yes, it's fine.
>5W-30
Yes, it's fine. Better if you live in a cold part of the planet. I know you live in Europe because you drive a 1.0L car on a daily basis, but I don't know if you're in Scandanavia or not.
Castrol recommends for your Toyota (EU) Aygo
1st choice
EDGE 0W-30
Engine 1KR-FE
2nd choice
Castrol recommends for your Toyota (EU) Aygo
Magnatec 5W-30 A5
Engine 1KR-FE

you might see poor gas mileage but it's not going to hurt the engine

Thanks, is it ok to change the oil to 5w30 fully synthetic next time?

If you're going synthetic, go with the 0-30 the manufacturer recommends, numbnuts.

>10W-30
Ummm, don't new Toyotas use 0W-20?

Read the fucking manual you dipshit.
use what the fucking manual recommends holy shit it isn't fucking hard
Read your manual, mine says something like "must fulfill ACEA A3-B3 classification, viscosity depending on climate."
