Why do cars not come with external wastegates?
No fun allowed.

They're louder and it's much easier to have one packaged into the turbo for factory installations. Plus internal is good enough for 99% of factory turbo cars

Right, but these days its all about low end and stuff, and the external is much better at controlling a much smaller turbine. Also helps with wastegate creep, which in turn helps low end.
I get what your saying though.

Yes but manufacturer would rather just throw a twin scroll on for low end rather than fiddle with ewg.
My mind goes to subaru and how they literally make their cars to go together in big chunks. (Like most manufacturers) and an ewg has more downsides for production than it does upsides

Looks like your cat is loose and even at the wrong place of the car

I don't think that cat is California smog legal either , looms aftermarket
>>13896145
he could probably go faster if he did some weight reduction on it too
Quiet, vents to the compressor inlet maintaining turbine rpm, packaging. Problem is the moderate boost pressure oem systems can handle.

Packaging reasons, also it's probably cheaper to use internally gated turbos instead of externally gated ones because there's less parts to source/make.

Yeah he should strip it down to the bear chassis

>bear chassis

for a sec I thought that was a massive dose pipe
