>electric cars are soon going to be faster than any combustion fueled vehicle
>gasoline will be sold in small jugs like kerosene in home depot for special niche situations.
what will /o/ do?
>>13895593
shitpost and bench race electric cars.
won't happen in our lifetimes
>>13895593
Automobile Enthusiasm and Racing was never about the type of engine, power, drivetrain or car.
>>13895593
>>13895621
also, call people who can't afford gasoline poorfags
>>13895621
business as usual
>>13895621
Bro you should AC swap!
i generate 400 niggawatts without even doing forced conduction!
>>13895626
it will definitely happen in our lifetime. in 60 years we went from having no airplanes to landing on the moons. electric cars are a cakewalk on comparison to that growth rate.
>>13895627
What was it about?
>>13895821
driving, you poser
>>13895593
Tesla has a long while to go until they can't beat cheap muscle.
>>13895593
ever worked out how much coal you have to burn to keep a powerstation running?
atleast in england this will never happen. we dont even have ethonol in our fuel
Electric cars are never going to be a thing until we can solve the 200+ year old problem of making a battery last more than a few hours.
>>13896315
they dont make sporty performance cars. hence the 1k pound difference
>>13896397
*1100 pound difference
>>13896403
solidifying my point

can you screencap your anime reaction folder?
>>13896445
Here you go.
>>13895742
>implying the moon landing really happened
>>13896462
I was expecting gigabytes of anime
I am disappointed
>>13895626
You're shitting me, right? Tech growth rate's faster than ever and people adopt new shit no problem. 30 years from now ITC engines will be niche as fuck and electric will be 99% of cars. Infrastructure will figure out a way to deal with the energy needs. Maybe we'll finally get some new fucking nuclear plants.
Long live the muscle car, baby
different power source, same monster torque
>>13895593
>what will /o/ do?
start hooning Teslas
>>13896951
>5000 lbs of pussy and ass
Hoon it right off a cliff.
>>13896959
>lowest center of gravity in the industry
suck it. The fucker can corner.
>>13896965
can, just not well
however if tesla made a purpose built sports car that isn't the roadster, and settled for 200 miles of range at most to keep the battery weight down, it'd probably be great
>>13895735
>2034
>not using forced conduction
>>13896315
>Cheap Muscle
>GT500
It's the comparable price I guess but cheap muscle you're talking a base GT
>>13896361
It won't take another 200 if that's what you're implying.
Whoever said it above in the thread is right. Tech is exponentially increasing. Developments are happening faster and breakthroughs are closer to each other than ever.
>>13897064
I don't doubt that, but we still can't invent a battery that lasts for more than a few hours and still have no idea how, pretty interested to see if we can overcome this problem before I die.
>>13895593
Pure ethanol fuel will become mainstream before electric cars do.
>>13896943
>american burnouts
Must feel bad knowing even Aussies can drive your cars better than you do.
>>13897083
The Tesla gets over 200 miles in range. Enough for any reasonable daily commute for several days without recharging. Battery use has drastically improved recently if not the batteries themselves.
There's all sorts of shit in the pipeline though. Graphene batteries are one. Something's bound to become practical enough to develop into a useful product.
>>13897092
Thanks to literally dozens of lithium batteries in series, all of which get worn out quickly through constant charging, this shit is a long way from being the norm.
>>13897099
>all of which get worn out quickly through constant charging.
