does anyone have any suggestions for a tasteful headunit or speakers for a car? the last owner put in a ricey headunit that sticks out like a sore thumb.
>>
>>13893293
i've heard kicker CS series are pretty good and durable. i don't really care about bass, but i want a speaker that is pretty loud and won't bust easily. i have 6's in the front and 4's in the back i think. as for the headunit, i would like an EQ adjuster, an auxiliary port, AM/FM, and all the standard controls. a CD player would be nice, but isn't necessary for me. any suggestions? thanks in advance
>>
Unfortunately unless you pay $$$$$$ the most tasteful headunit for your car is probably the stock one.

First time I actually laughed at a car stereo.

This is so comically serious, I fucking love it.

They're real, Kubota has them and you can get Bluetooth and a backup camera too. The new larger mini excavators all have climate control with hepa filters, multi adjustable suspension seats and LCD gauge clusters

>tfw tractors are nicer than my car.

Well if it's a stereo for heavy machinery and not just some hipster shit, it may actually be lightening proof.

I like how they even shat on a photo studio appointment for that product info.

Just pulled out their consumer camera and snapped a shot on automatic.

I put this in my E36. If you want tasteful and OEM looking units, go with the dirt cheap ones and avoid Alpine (they're the flashiest brand of all). The cheapest ones are less chrome trimmed and night club looking.

I'd be way too scared that hey might be retardedly designed inside and that some fucked up wiring in the case might cause a fire.

I don't trust these cheap radios at all.
>>
>>13893550
By cheap I mean the cheapest from brand names such as Pioneer and Sony. The cheap Sony units are terrifically minimal and not too flashy.

Interesting.
Around here the cheap products of big brands are usually the tackiest and flashiest while the more expensive ones are usually a little less flashy.

Don't know what it is because the guy I bought it from had put it in (or it could have even before he owned it I suppose as well) but this is in my ranger.
I think they must have also upgraded the stereo system because it sounds pretty decent. Not the best in the world but it's solid. Doesn't look too bad. You can change the color also but I don't know how. It turns to red (from blue) whenever I put it into reverse which is kinda cool I guess, not sure how he wired that though since it's a 1992 manual.

>horizontal photo on a vertical image
I don't even know what to say anymore.
It's like smartphones really dumbed down people.
>>
>>13893564
Strange. Usually the mid-range ones are the super flashy ones while the most expensive or dirt cheapest are the least flashy. Still, a cheap and minimal Sony is the way to go. Some allow you to change the LED and button colours so they can match your cars instrument lighting which is a nice touch.
>>
>>13893578
If I didn't do that, the photo would be sideways for you guys.
Can't rotate it so the only way to guarantee it is upright when uploading to 4chan is to take a screenshot and then upload that.
>>
>>13893368
GET THE SATELLITE
>>
>>13893583
You know that literally every phone has an edit mode where you can rotate the image around, right?
>>
>>13893596
Yes.
But the thing is with iPhones. It only changes the orientation when it is displayed in your photo app.
It doesn't actually change the file extension that determines the "right way up" on a computer.
This when it is uploaded to 4chan servers it is sideways.

this has only happened to me with factory units tho

I use this with tape deck head units
only issue is needing to wiggle the tape a little to get better contact with the reading head
but after that it is fine
also many older head units will have line in for an external cd player or changer
>>
>>13893928
Might need to get one, the aux plug has that problem starting to happen and it may be shorting out the clock on the radio too. Thanks senpai

I get a high-pitched noise coming through the speakers when I hook my phone or iPod up to the AUX jack...but ONLY when I also have them plugged into the 12V/USB adapter to charge them. If I unplug their charger cables, the interference goes away.

It's directly related to the electronic throttle too, because as I press down harder and let off, the sound gets higher and lower. I'm pretty sure I destroyed the battery in my iPod using that USB thing too, it won't hold a charge now.

I use this in my car,
it goes relatively well with the rest of the interior and was cheap, around $55.

The only thing, that I don't like is the fact, that the screen is white, not green.
