I'm currently being bemused by how easy these terrible to get to plugs are to get to.
>but intake parts have to come out!
Meh.
Some interesting shit, I tell ya

That's dryer than a Saigon mamasan. Jeez.
Tight. Dry thread so no wonder.
Looks charred but okay to me.
Getting rid of these nubs, I've never done this before so my work is terrible.
I'll clean it up before I finish though.
Oh. Well then.

And just finished grinding all 6 off. Time to get to wrapping.
>>13884982
translate it, weeaboos.
>>13886821
It's not pretty, but was my first time grinding something. it's going to be wrapped anyways, but at least not it won't have those ugly ass holes sticking out under the wrap or wrapped around them.

Need to file them more, but its farking cold outside and my rum is too cozy.
Currently putting off a head gasket replacement on an RB20
For like a year now.

>>13884978
are you having a stroke?
>>13889595
I don't have an exact figure, but I'm under $3k for everything listed.
>>13886961
isn't buying another one cheaper at that point
>>13890932
Close, but you don't get all new components and everything will be worn out from either age or high mileage.
I like these cars, this is the second one I bought.
First one I had went to 325k, with good basic maintenance they run forever.

Here's you're response.

Gc8 wrx?
Im going to do my plugs and leads next week.. Cylinder 4 on my coilpack has been really hot so I'm hoping it just means needs new plugs. It's been like 2 years since I did them.
They're really not hard to get at all if you have the right tools. Some fags are way over dramatic. I find my gc8 very easy to work on.
swapping in new turbo brushes

Looking at trans parts for my car. Thinking about upgrading a few things.
When I was home all I did was drop in an intake I got from some qt 3.14 on Craigslist.
I've barely done anything to my car because I don't know what will add power for under $1,000.
Clutch job, just had to remove 2 underbody covers, 4 heatshields, the exhaust, 3 braces, and the whole transaxle/torque tube assembly with all the associated hydraulic and electrical fittings to get to it
Celebrating that I passed this shit >>13884982

If you guys weren't retarded you'd understand.
He's saying that everyone says the plugs are hard to access.
But he thinks they're easy to access.
So all done.
>>13884978
I just sold my project car after getting it to look nice/run well. The guy I sold it to looks like an enthusiast so hopefully it's going to a good home. I even made around a 300$ profit all things told.
I now want to get another project car to restore/maybe keep.

Let me shit all over your garbage, there, son. It's proven that header wraps will destroy your headers in roughly 5% of the time it would take otherwise due to the insulating effect.
>mfw when this faggot doesn't understand metallurgy or thermodynamics...
>>13894794
>it's proven
Yea, sorry read up on that, nearly all reports have it take upwards of 3 to 5 years to show surface damage, with no internal.
It's speeds up the process by maybe a few %.
Kindly fuck off with your nonsense.
Just finished swapping in the new motor for my sti, just enjoying the fruits of my labor.
>>13894794
Oh and since you don't know, the stock headers on the SVT are stainless steel.
So your making a pointless post.
