I'll give it a shot:

-2003-2009 Subaru Legacy 2.5GT: It's a Subie, fun to drive, reliable, and has AWD...also, it's relatively uncommon car in my neck of the woods.
-2008-2009 Infiniti G35x: Essentially the G37 you're looking at but it has a 3.5L V6. Some people actually prefer this engine because it's a little smoother than the 3.7. x has AWD. Should be cheaper than the G37.

Others:
-Subie WRX (should be able to find an older one for a decent price, but if you're under 25, prepare to get penetrated by insurance)
-VW GTI (see above, but I don't you'll get killed by insurance...very practical car)
-Mazdaspeed3 (this one's a wild card...I've never driven one, but you can always go see how it is)
