Noob question, trying to understand wheel offset a little better. What would a completely negative offset be in mm? Pic related
>>13872668
There are other variables.
But in the center of the wheel is 0.
>>13872672
0mm right? I would imagine that going negative beyond the center like in that picture would be -mm (-5mm, -10mm, etc) but I have never seen that.
>>13872668
Offset is where the wheel mount surface is in relation to the center line of the wheel. Backspacing is how far from the inner edge of the wheel the wheel mount surface is. A 'completely negative' offset would be 0 backspacing.

>I have never seen negative offset
FUCK do I envy you.
>>13872685
Because it puts an utterly unnecessary strain on the lug nuts, key word leverage.
>>13872695
Don't forget to RIP in pies wheel bearings.
>>13872687
Thank you. I think I got it now.

>but I have never seen that.
kek
ever seen a truck?

I meant I've never seen it measured in negative millimeters. Not that I haven't seen negative offset you fuck.
Offset: distance of mounting surface from wheel centerline, usually measured in mm.
Backspacing: distance of mounting surface from the outer wheel lip, usually measured in inches.
A 15x8 0 offset is the same as a 15x8 with 4in backspacing.
You can do the math from there.
Hope this helps

hory shet
>>13875263
No et -0 is the same as (width/2) backspacing
Read >>13875245 again, a little more slowly if need be, think about it for a moment. Then post.
