Any mk6/7 owners or ex-owners here? What's your opinions? Thinking of getting a TSi or TDi.

Ya senpai, got a 2016 R. Its pretty great, just picked it up recently. Are you buying new?
I wouldn't go with TDI for obvious reasons.
Gti's and R's are one of the most fun cars for the buck. They are an absolute blast to drive. Anything diesel is miserable to drive. I worked at a vw dealership and regularly drove each. I'm on the verge of getting a gti with the discount.

Get a MK1/2
>swap in a nice VW engine 'say a nice VR6 engine like from a R32, or smaller like a 1.8T
>swap in AWD system from a Golf syncro
>swap in some nice seats and get yourself a nice steering wheel
>get some nice wheels, coilovers and brakes
be better then any modern golf
>>13873773
nah this is /o you have to actually be into cars to do that
>>13873773
I'm all for this but people who have new vws don't often know how to do that shit.

even if you payed someone else to do it, you can probably save money over buying a modern one, getting a MK2 with a 1.8T swap from a MK4 or Audi S3, get some nice coil overs and wheels, stance it nicely. Even get a nice leather interior <3 <.<

HAHAHAHAHAH
ARE YOU FUCKING SERIOUS

>stance it
God I fucking hate that word.

every car has stance... whats wrong with changing it to suit the vehicle more or to your own tastes.
Widen the tracks or have offset wheels so they fit to the wheel arches nicely, also wider tracks mean more stable handling.
You hate the word stance but its an important part of aesthetics and performance even for stock cars.

don't be a retard.
every car has camber and ride height.. not stance

Stance in terms of cars is the way they sit on their wheels.

i like you.

the word has been corrupted. you can no longer call a normal car stance.
now you just have to say nice setup. or nice wheel package. something normal to avoid triggering actual car people.
