My '98 e350 pulled a 7k lbs Carson trailer 3k miles across country. Accelerated up hill like a fuxking beast. Maybe you shouldn't tow in overdrive like a retarded yuppie neet faggot?
Trailer was fully loaded with a packed to the brim '74 fj40, a pickup truck toolbox loaded with tools, welder, jacks, stands, portable aor conditioners, dehimidifiers, and an entire garage worth of tools.
I high centered on the trailer at a truck stop... no backing out of this area so I said fuckit, drove the van through the 3' deep semi truck ditch, the trailer rails hit the ground and I proceeded to drag the entire load effortlessly through the ditch and into the truck parking. Only damage was a slightly bent 90 metal on the rear housing the taillights. Wired the lights back up and drove another 1500 miles.
I also run straight veggie oil via 50 gallon tank, or diesel at the flip of a switch.
I get 18mpg on the highway. Averaged better than 12 towing my shit.
