So whats the point of changing your engine oil? I haven't changed mine for 14,000 miles now and my car's doing fine.
>>
A modern synthetic is probably fine at 14,000, but you should probably change it anyway. I actually think the first scheduled oil change is 15,000 now for new cars.

Anyway, oil breaks down over time through constant heat cycling. It stops lubricating as well as it used to which makes your engine wear faster.

Some people go full OCD and change it too much wasting money imo, but it all depends on the car. Better to change it early than late.

Kek.

Why add more lube during buttsex?
>>

How new do you mean? Mine is a 97' is that new enough?

And should I waste my money on high-mileage oil? What's even considered high miles? I'm at 165,000

Either youre a lame troll or youre really this fucking retarded
>>

Dont ever change it and find out for yourself
>>

15000 miles? That seems pretty high. Most synthetic oils I see have a 10000 km (6000 miles) limit. My new car is supposed to get its first oil change at 8000 km (5000 miles).

Should be fine. No one actually bothers with oil. just remember to change the blinker fluid at regular intervals. For your safety and others
>>

First, yes. The interval for manufacturer recommendation my car is 25k km. Though I do it more often now.

You're right, oil change get are all just a scam
>>
>>13834780
New Mazdas are 5000 or 7500 miles and use synthetic.

It's all a myth started by big oil.

If it can stay in the ground for millions of years under all that pressure and heat all while the earth is turning.

I mean think about it how many miles does the earth spin each day? Billions? I'm positive it can last in your car for the lifetime of your engine.
>>
It's a literal scam. Good on you OP.

This.

Just fill up what burns off and change the filter. There is no need to drain the oil. I havent change my oil in my old pickup truck for about 80k miles, it has just over 200k miles on it. It just passed emissions.

without a lie, Im currently driving a 2004 Nissan Sentra with 340,000k and 40,000k without an oil change...
